does the item description not say decreases the failure rate by 100% for perfect red eye and decreases degradation by 100% for perfect blue mile?
so why did i fail 3 times in a row with perfect red eye, perfect blue mile, AND blessed lix??

Red Eye decreases Breakage rate
Blue Mile decreases Degradation rate

When enhancing, there are four outcomes:
Succeed
Fail
Degrade
Break

You've only taken away the chance of the latter two happening.

but it says right there in the SS that it DECREASES the failure rate by 100% in the perfect red eye and yet i failed 3 times in a row

Actually it is breakage rate, I think it's a typo.
Btw, you want 100% decrease in breakage rate or failure rate?...

it would have been nice to put in the description that it decreases the breakage rate, that would have been easier to comprehend then the "failure" rate. sorry for the flame but i even used a BLESSED lix..oh well after i finish these perfect items im not enhancing again

wow, I forgot that the game has 3 ways to fail and that you only cover ONE method of failure.

By the suggestion it could mean that the items don't actually increase your SUCCESS and just makes sure you don't ruin your weapon. If you had a 1% chance to succeed, 10%break, 50% fail and 40% degrade, both stones would probably just turn it into 1% success/90% fail.

Thus you'd need one more stone to prevent the normal fails to truly get your instasucceed.

The last stone is to increase success rate (maybe by 1%... LOL).

Yeah, I bought the perfect red eye thinking there is not chance of failing and man was i wrong. My first try was a success. My 7 other tries, I have gained nothing. 7 wasted red eyes and 7 wasted Xirs.

They won't say 1%, but a 100% INCREASE (of 1% :))

Glad I read this... I won't be buying it after all. Thanks for the warning guys. :)

Ok. So according to using both 'perfect' stones, you reduce the chance of it breaking and the chance of it degrading down a notch? Or do they still break even when using these 100%'s? I care more about breakage than anything. Can anyone confirm a weapon breaking upon using one of these 100%s?

The reason is many people think a 100% reduction in chance means that they won't fail- it doesn't mean that.
What it means is that the chance of failing is halved- its a werid thing.

It has to land accross the stone. Doesnt matter if it landed on the stone it will not work. :P

Yeah this sounds like its going to be interesting. Just a good ploy to make money :P lol i dont blame them.

GM Steam has already clarified that Perfect red eye means 100% of no breaking, not failing..so basically you have 2 outcomes if you use the red eye and blue mile.. it upgrades or it dosen't. Yes, I know it sucks that it fails, even when using a blessed stone -_- , but think of it this way at least it DOESNT break. It would be a whole lot crappier if it would break.. i'd take a failed enhancement any day over failure, cause at least you still have your equipment and can always try again.. it's not that bad. Plus people have said there is a slot for another premium item and it's supposed to be to up the success rate.. so, you could always wait for the 3rd item.

that's what i meant. it landed on the correct spot for an enhance, yet said failed and did the crashing burning thing.

Also a Blessed one only hels to improve the chance of degrade/breakage. NOT a blessing that it will work better or land on it more.

Lucky sometimes gives +2 I have had it a few times so i know it's true. but trust me not any luckier to land on it that's forshure

So using the perfect red eye means 100% no breakage?

Got it *takes notes* I'm willing to do whatever so long as I can reduce the breakage or take out the breakage entirely in the process. The stones and all that aren't the biggest issue for me as much as breaking something. I'll even take a downgrade over breaking my items. >.<

same. For me i juz spent 300s on a nice green lvl 50 axe with decent stats. the thing that IS good about the axe is this..

70% damage on orcs. Almost complete licence. WOOT lofl.

I currently have a lvl 30 axe that's 30% damage i've done all myself.

For the 70% dmg u need to LAST hit kill ..

4200 orcs. 6 (per %) X 100% X 7 (15-20,25,30,40,50,60,70)

NO way i want to loose that trying to enhance lol. It will be easy kiling at lvl 50 woot.
Anywyas i promised i wouldnt spend money on here BUT now that these perf stones came out i picked up 40 so hoping for ATLEAST one +9 axe lol. Oh and i have a good stock of T2 luckys and blessed so gonna try luckying it up.

Above +7 the chance of success seems to greatly decrease.. In fact, i used 30 red eye and 30 blue mile and had 30 consecutive fails trying to get from +7 to +8...

yea that's what he responded in the initial thread about the perfect red eye when it was introduced

and yea, anything is better than it breaking
