how can i prevent pulling aggro from heal? im lvl 39 and i have Heal fully empowered. i haven't duoed or partied alot, quests and kq get me by fine but i noticed that i do draw alot of aggro from my heal. does the level of the heal matter? also do you think its inconsiderate to let their hp get down half (like 1000/2000) before healing them because my heal [06] heals ~910 hp and that would only make me heal occasionally and pull aggro less, hopefully. of course this is a situation where their hp is chipping away slowly and they're not gonna die in 1 blow. however ppl get mad at me and stone by themselves when i let their hp get low even though i *know* i can heal them in time (again i don't do this to ppl who have very little hp or can't take much hits before death)

I never really looked into it but it always happens to me. I'm a constant healer. If I was in your position, even if I can heal 960, I will still heal even if they lost maybe 200-300 health.
My only tips is before getting aggro, heal pretty quickly on the people that are damaged, and make sure that they normally have restore on. I think I read somewhere that the more damage you heal, the more aggro you can potentially get.
If you do happen to get aggro, all I can say is focus on yourself and other party members if they are hurt, and move left and right(assuming you're away from an archer or mage and they are in front of you) until they gain aggro back. If it's a fighter then run near the fighter for them to potentially get aggro.
Sorry if it wasn't much help but in plain healing would more likely than not have you get aggro. Waiting for their health to go by a certain point is ok as long as they don't die, but I believe if you wait, the higher chance you might generate aggro (I think, I'm not sure, sorry.)

Meh, unless you're like super duper spam healing, you shouldn't really be getting aggro..unless of course your fighter doesn't know how to keep aggro or your mage is afk o_O
It's up to you to decide when/if you want to heal your party mates. It's the considerate thing for you to do, but they can stone if they want.
Sometimes people would tell me not to heal, because they don't want to lose aggro and they have pots/stones/cash shop pots to use o-o So you know, just take it by the situation.
>_> Normally 'Heal' skill shouldn't pull too much aggro though.. like if you're spamming heal/rejuv/aoe heals then yeah maybe.. You probably just had a bad party ._. Which is why people say the lower levels don't know how to play anymore. q.q
It's nice to see low levels come on the forums and ask questions though. :3 Forums/online guides really help if you take the time to read them.

Yeah, I just did the Spider KQ for the first time today, and I kept getting aggro by just using heal sometimes lol. That was especially a pain in the butt when we had to fight the spider with all the little spider babies :p I ran around, used heal, gained more aggro, healed myself, healed party members... it was an endless cycle and nobody seemed to want to take aggro. I think I died twice in that little room :/ Anymore, I just try to reserve my heals for when it's really necessary, like when the person's health is down to where your heal heals exactly that amount (if that makes sense lol).
Spam healing when the person's only lost 100 hp is definitely going to get you aggro. When health is only down by small amounts, use restore. Restore will become your best friend in situations like these. When you get pretty good, you can heal in chains efficiently without wasting sp.

I heard that some clerics set several heal levels on their skill bar, allowing them to choose the heal amount according to the situations.
That is too hot for me, but you might want to give that a try.

The heal skill will not pull as much aggro. You will probably get hit once by the monster but unless your fighter/mage is good at repulling the aggro back to themselves, you won't die and will have plenty of time to heal yourself.
At lvl 60 when you do your job change quest, you need to rely on those heal to get aggro from the monsters and not your npc (you'll understand what I'll mean when you get there) Spamming rejuvenate will definitely pull more aggro towards yourself.
And about healing your parties, just heal them :) But they better be aware that you can't be healing everyone at the same time and that they DO have to stone.
Maybe you should tell them to hold aggro better so you can do your job at your best xD
Just my two cents :3

i didnt do that for my job change :o and i beat the third part on my first try hmmm
anyway xD, heal really doesnt ever gain agro from my personal exsperience the only skills that have true potential for agro are, awaken, recover, and rejuv
but if u do get agro its ok just keep an eye on your hp and your parties, unless its like a deadly huge mob, or a boss u shouldnt worry about dieing
as for waiting to heal, thats ok if its a fighter, but most mages and archers (my self inculded from time to time) have witnessed far to many "fail" clerics, which is why they more then likley stone because they're nervous if they have your support or not, but weather u heal or not if they KNOW they will be taking alot of damage they need to stone with your heal to maximise their survival chances
but agro from heal anyway does happen to all clerics just something we get to live with, and often have fun with xD

There's a few things you can do.
- Heal less often. If you can heal for 1000 HP, healing every time someone loses 100 is not being a good cleric. You'll pull aggro away and possibly get yourself killed and subsequently your party. It's also a massive waste of SP.
- Use a lower level heal. As long as your heals can keep up with the damage, you should be fine.
- Wait until after a pull to do mass heals. Basically, keep your party alive, but don't necessarily worry about keeping them at constant full health. Not recommended against bosses that have specials as they often can take more than 50% of a fighter's health in one shot. If a regular mob takes more than 50% of the fighter's health, you should not be training there.
- Find a better tank. As long as the cleric isn't spamming all their skills whenever they aren't in cooldown, the tank should never lose aggro to a cleric, especially one that is only healing.

I agree with Juni. Heal will pull aggro up to a certain level. After that (generally around 60-70), the mages have such a high damage that you will barely get aggroed. If you still do, run towards the nova/inferno aoe circle, and you will lose it in seconds.

True, until OOS makes mobs smarter like the Hell's Guardians in Helga's Tomb. Or maybe I just venture on to the wrong side of the crosses some times. ;)

Yeah, it has always been that way.
We who have been here a while refer to it as "The Clerics Curse".
I really don't know how high up the levels it goes but as was previously suggested you can run through a Nova or an Inferno and that will get the mobs off of you.
Your Fighter is supposed to be aware and protect you from that too.

uhm... atm im at T12 Heal. What i found out about it:
- The ammount of restored hp doesnt has any effect on your aggro rate
- The Aggro Rate is low if compared with aoe skills (includes aoe heals)
- You can heal as much you want if the fighter does his job properly (and is in your lvl range)

I love pulling heal aggro! Its what makes my build intresting, and a party saver.
Sure, using all 4 heals draws mass aggro with a fully empowered heal, but toss in rejuv. recover and (my personal favorite) awaken.
Revuj. and awaken will steal aggro later on the game without a fail unless your party members have dealt enough damage to keep a mobs main focus, occasionally, you will walk away with about 2-10 monsters chasing you if the party pulls a big mob like in ToS. Awaken is a death sentence is some mobs...so use it sparingly unless you can take the beating ^_^

Haha maybe xD. Anyways it is true, Hell Guardians and Kallaps have a 'weird' aggro. They hit the first person they spot, then they randomly dash and switch to another person in the surroundings. But since it is HGs tomb, and you most likely will have tanks in parties, mock/s.kick works most of the times.
