I know it's a good idea to let off some steam from the spammers and people who are generally rude towards clerics, but sometimes you need a little love! I love my cleric and recently got her up to lvl 60 :D The other classes have their pluses (I had about 2 weeks where I went back to my mage lol), but something about clerics makes them awesome. I've used her to tank (even though she's definitely not a clank) when fighters cowered in fear, I've kept parties alive while grinding in abyss after someone pulled too many mobs, I can solo or be in parties and still enjoy myself, and sometimes, I'll meet an amazing person who thanks me for the jobs I do :3 All the buffs that people ask for, I can use on myself. And I've looked at the skills that I'll get in the future, and it rocks my socks lol.
I never really saw myself playing a cleric before. I started out back in January playing my fighter. She was pretty cool, but I got bored after I hit lvl 30. I made a mage and archer, but quit them for a while because they died way too much :p Then I made a cleric, played her up until around lvl 20, went back to the fighter, then back to my cleric lol. And I've stuck with her for quite a while now, and I don't regret it :D
What made you want to make a cleric? What makes you keep playing it?

well me ive never really seen my self as a cleric before either honestly, but one day when i was on my mage who was at the time 5x and was in MD i noticed this incredibley fail cleric, that particular cleric inspired me to try my hand at the cleric class ^^ and i truly love it, its my first favorite class of the 2 i truly like, archer being the second
always awesome getting complements and such if u do a good job, and the way your heart races in those truly intense healing moments, DT being one of them when your party gets into a pinch LOL xD
the only thing i dont really like about cleric is, not buffing but the rude kind of buff request, tho i dislike buff pls and so on the one i truly hate is when someone comes up to you and plainly says "buff" i just sport a nice LOL then hop on my raccoon and speed away xD
clerics are a really fun class to play, until 80 if your a soloer ull definatley need pt's 80+ unless you have nerves of steel O.o
and gratz on 60 ^^ hope you enjoy it :D, and dont fret about hopping to different chars xD i do it alot too lolz

I treat everyone the same way whether I'm on my cleric or not: If you're not in my party, I don't care about you. You aren't helping me in any way, why should I help you?
And if you don't like it, you can go cry for all I care. :)

When I downloaded this game for the first time, we were a group of 4 people playing together: me, my brother, my fiance, and a friend of us. My brother was the first one downloading, he chose fighter. My fiance and my friend chose mage and archer, and while I did have the chance to go with the same class one fo them had chosen, when my laptop finished downloading, and I had to chose, I read all the descriptions of every class before making my mind: the cleric, the one they did not select, caught my attention inmediately, since unlike others, they 'had the power to determine who lives and who dies'. I thought that was fantastic. So I chose cleric, without having seen clerics ever before (this was also my first MMO).
When I started playing, I confirmed my thoughts. While other classes had their awesome things too (and I tried a bit of them all), my cleric was this incredible character who was able to keep others alive, while she was self sufficient. She didn't need of anyone to do anything. If I wanted to quest, I could quest. If I wanted to party, she could party. If I wanted to solo, she could solo. And the more I learnt about her the more people would identify me as someone who could make a difference on living or dieing. So the description was right: I had the power, via learning, to determine who lived and who died. And it was an amazingly entertaining power.
It is been more than 2 years since that, and I still consider my cleric my favourite class.
