I Hate Fiesta

i don't know if any of you feel my pain.. I got a +6 light bow and i decided to use a lucky xir on it. it broke, i didn't care because i had 2 more +4. SO i tried to enhance 1 of the two. And it broke on first try. my last +4, i tried and that broke too. so i bought a new fresh and tried to enhance it. got to 3 and it broke. got another one, broke. got another one, broke. now i have no money and no bows. fiesta sucks

No, you're just ignorant. There are warning about enhancement in this game, you failed to heed them. The GM's themselves have also stated that enhancing may make you lose money, so do it carefully.

i do have to agree having them break is a bit OTT

i think removing the breaking and increasing the degrade rate would be better, but that's just me
i lost my level 20 2h sword when upgrading, and this was very painful because everybody knows around level 20 you get some serious money issues

I do just about the same dmg with or without enhancement so I couldn't care about refining, not unless I had the money for it xD

Otherwise, everyone would be running around with +9 items.. where's the fun in that? Don't you want to feel special and accomplished once you finally get a +9?

for me, I carry only one. >< the rest is lvl 1 bows so that I can practice on them until I crack da code lol xD

well, if the degrade rate becomes VERY high at about +7 then it would be the same, you'd start degrading pretty much everytime you try to get to +8 or +9
eventually you'll be spending just as much money on stones as you would when you bought a weapon and keep trying to enhance it everytime you break it

at least the 1-3 part of enhancing should be break proof imo, or even degrade proof, you don't gain much damage from those enhances anyway

like
1-3 - you can fail, but you can't degrade or break
4-6 - you can fail and degrade, but you can't break
7-9 - you can fail, degrade and break

but i'm already happy if 1-3 became break proof, losing your weapon for such a lousy enhancement is a bit silly imo
i think enhancements really become worth it from on +4
lower then that it's just eye candy(+3)

There are other threads that cover this, and I've posted the same thing in all of them....every game needs a monetary drain on the economy or it ends up having a crummy economy like runescape or ultima or something...this game has enhancement. And you must admit, it does a damn good job of draining money from the economy:p The other thing is that if you want cool enhanced weapons just go do some Kings Quests or party up and hunt boss mobs like mara, marlone, king marlone etc....They drop all sorts of goodies, and they are much better then enhanced weapons...Take my Hammer for instance...no glowing things all over it....but it gives plus 10 to str and plus 8 to end. Yeah, cooler then glowing stuff in my opinion. The weapons you get from bossed and KQs can have enhancements to damage like normal enhanced weapons, but also increased stats, increased damage range (the actual damage done, not an increase thats added after like in enhancement), increased aim and increased critical rates...so why bother enhancing anyway? There are much cooler weapons out there, and the only reason I can see to enhance is to get something all glowing and swirly and over the top. I'll take a plus 10 str plus 8 end hammer that doesn't glow any day of the week.

It actually will pay off once you get it up to +7 and up. The trick is getting there, which is a lot easier now with the perfect red/blue running around.

Ya everygame must have somthing hard to do but i agree wuth this guy the way to upgrade stuff is bull sht i just got a bow Lv 20 +7 i tryed to make my last to +8 and it brokes 4 times each to +4 +6 and +3 >> and i used Lucky and blessed elures what i think they must update is the % ot the enchancement for ekips cuz its to low or what it miss not even it can decrese the +Lv of the weapon u can also broke it thats stupid i used to play a MMROG called Mu online and u need something called ( Jewel of Bless to upgrade stuff to +1+2+3+4+5+6 For +7+8+9 its called Jewel Of Soul
but it never be destroyed but the prob is that starting +8 it u miss it can decrese to +0 but it dont get destroyed only when u can destroy them its doing an item +10+11+12+13 for those extra upgrades u need that ur item has ( Luck Option ) it adds 25% to the succes upgrade the normal % for +10 to 13 its 50% without Luck if u miss the upgrade Miss u Destroy the item

But dam Fiesta its crazy it can also be destroyed or just Miss since +1 -_-.

don't insult fiesta just because you didn't read the warnings. if your haveing that much trouble inhancing than concentrate on active skills. duh. or just save up and buy an inhanced bow from someone who has better luck inhancing. thats what i did. now i have a +5 inhanced cross-bow that i bought from a vendor, and in my own oppinion the very close to most powerful active skillson the game for my level as an archer. why insult fiesta? sorry if that sounded at all rude, but dude come on ***?

heres some advice dont try to upgrade quick if something breaks wait a while then try again and it will work

Just like everyone else said, it doesn't make any sense to break so many and still keep trying to enhance your weapons, especially when they get more expensive. Also most of the time there is one lucky square that has a better chance of getting an enhancement than others,depends a bit on where you put the elrue. I found that the enhancement doesn't really have much affect till about +5 or +6, but if you don't have the money or if you just keep breaking them then don't do it!

I think it just adds to the fun of the game :D It makes you suspenseful and you can't wait to see, but it's the tediousness of MMO's bust you just cant get away from it!

every time you enhance an item more than once a day the chances of success go down. yes, you MAY get two to work in a row, but usually they will break as soon as they fail. i only enhance once a week. i haven't broke an item in months, i have a +3 shield, +2mace, +6 2h sword.....you just have to be patient. and ya, things will break. but if your down to your last one, why would you take the chance? you just didnt think, you caused yourself the trouble, dont blame the game. blame yourself, no one made you try to enhance once you broke 3 bows.

Have you ever played Ragnarok? the succes rate in that game is like 1/1000, and believe me, getting ores AND rare good weaps is not as easy as it looks (miss my old +10 triple bloody boned violin... i miss my Ministrel... Fiesta must have a bard class soon xD). As everyone above me says, it´s part of the game (A very fun (And expensve xD) part of the game). If you don´t like it, then you shouldn´t be playing MMOG, most have an enhancement sistem, and all of them have their risks.

Actually, to make it more fun, i start the spinwheel and close my eyes, because i have headphones the sound is louder so the suspense increases... yeah i know, i´m crazy but it´s fun for me xD.

Call me hopefull, stupid, or just plain noob, but I find that there, in fact, IS a method for enhancing. I only have title of Skillful Enhancer in game so far because I have only enhanced up to +7.

It seems to me that If you get a weapon up to +3-4 and then enhance only once every so often (for me its once every level because I am still going up a level about everyday) it has much less of a chance of breaking or even failing. I currently have a level 20 Xbow +7 and literally havent even failed once.

I'd like to hear what more experienced players think on this. Again, I am still a noob in the game (level 23 Archer) so please don't be too harsh.

1. u dun rly need to have such high +'s weapon at that lvl.. u easily get to lvl20 with a +0

2. u should have stop after breaking so much.. or u don't know how much money u had left?

3. u shouldn't have enhance ur LAST bow.. unless u have got money left.. isn't it common sense when u already broke sooo many of them?

4. thats not too bad.. its only some light bows.. others broke GGKs as u can see lols. jus get a 200c and buy one from vendor and continue ur game..

5. fiesta don't suck..

i duno if this applies for every1, once i was up to +3 or i broke an item, i wud not go on instead i'll try on the next day. my light bow was +3, i did a +4 at day1, +5 on day2 n whoopieee +6 on day3.

from these onwards, i only do 1 enhancement a day. it only needs a lil patience, u'll have less grudges n failures.. give it a try... its jus a light bow after all :)

try having a zk bow +3 and it breaking, then having your boyfriend not shutting up with the "i told you so"s and you get another zk bow and give it to him to refine because you suck at it and he won't give it back until he gets it to +9 but he can't because he is all out of lixes and you are stuck with a normal bow that was gotten you killed over.... i don't know how many times

i made my first +9 at lvl 24
and i used all regular stones
let me tell u all a secret (i have made lots of +9's without sc)
first thing-is dont buy a bundle of stones only buy 1 at a time
second thing-ok u see the very bottom slot were u can put a stone well always put ur first stone 2 slots to the right or that and move to the left even if u fail
i have also found that if u have say a +7 weapon and u make it +8 dont try to make it +9 keep it +8 for atleast 2 days and then go back and try to +9 it
i have found these ways of upgradeing very helpful..

enhancing doesnt alwayse fail, somtimes if u have the red eyes to stop breakage of the weapon, its likely to go up a little bit. i got my archers bow to 9+ no trouble on the first try
