some say SPR is actually better for DMG than STR because STR adds so little to DMG per stat - where as SPR adds a much higher amount of CRIT chance, and having a lot of CRITS can be helpful - especially in higher lvls when you could use 600+ dmg to that huge boss. In my opinion, especially if END is your main stat, go for SPR.
Full END is the easiest way to go, although hard to stick to - you're never going to do as much DMG as a fighter with STR/SPR, so be prepared to spam your Demoralizing Shout/Sneering Kick.

I'd go +25spr, rest end. I'd go 5:5 end:spr until you get to 25 spr, then throw the rest into end.

Full tank is full end. If you raise anything else it's not a full tank build, simple as that. XD

Full END if you're completely a tank. Otherwise, you're not completely a tank... the definition of a tank is the person who takes all the hits so defense is a must.
+25 spr could come in handy if there are elite monsters or bosses with magic attacks, since it raises magical defense. However, I don't know if this applies. As for crits, a good tank knows to use their snears and taunts for keeping aggro not depending on their attacks. Plus, it's not your job as a tank to do damage but to take it. So save your SP for snears and taunts if it's all you can afford, please.
I still say full END since I don't know if magical defense comes into play.

hmmm well i think the idea of a tank is to pull agrro and keep it so the ability to take damage is key. so a full or majority END. build is what to go with now i see SPR. has come into question and yes taking magic damage is still a part of it but there are not enough magic casting mobs in the game really to need it( i think ) but my question is why no one ever looks at DEX which increases your block and dodge ability and thusly being good for a tank as well being they would take less DMG just wondering on this as i no of no one that has tried it to see if it works or not

This is the simplest questions on here to answer.
Full End.
I am a tank and do FUll end. I solo mainly aswell. I do very well with a axe or 2h sword. Even though you are full end you can still do damage good.
Keep in mind if you pump out a little silver for Green statted gear you can make ur spr up. SUre u dont get the bonus but oh well.
My armor alone has 22dex, 25spr, that's juz the base armor and helmet has 18 dex and 24 spr i think around there.
So you can get good stats with other equipment aswell. Shields have stats if you find the right ones for sale.
Go full end if you want to be a tank. P.S (soloing orcs at lvl 43 got licence to 30%) np :P

Dex is Evasion and aim. Not block.

For me I'll go for FULL END. Plus shield scroll, I can like almost to invincible together with high HP.

Depends on how you want to play. IMO, if going sword and board, go full END. If going axe, go either 25 SPR, then rest END, or 25 SPR then rest STR. I don't see much half END/half STR builds with high crits. All depends on how you wanna play. So, pick your style, then think about it. My fighter is a 25 SPR to start axe fighter, then rest END. Its a fine build, and I can survive battles pure STR fighters cant, but full END tanks out-last me much easier due to shield block rate and that extra 125 more HP than me :D

I'd say that..
A full End 1 Hand fighter is very useful in a party as long as you have a mage/archer as a DD and a cleric healing u from behind. This is so because Shield Block nulls all damage which equals to longer survivability.
Eg : I have 44 points in End which equals to 4.4% shield blocks, if u add that with the Shield Block skill u easily get more than 20% blocks.
It's sufficient till the stage when u feel u do so little damage to the enemies that ur tempted to put up Spr. Which i did so~
In my point of view, Spr is better than Str because :
i) It increases ur magic defence , which makes u a better tank against magical enemies
ii) Spr gives more SP allowing for less usage of stones.
ii) Having crits is more useful than having a little extra damage
