I am just as surprised as you guys are about this apparent change to the Flame Walker skill, and I have asked QA to look into this for us. They will test it out and report back to us with what they find. Often times, OOS will make changes to the patch without our knowledge and these changes will not be included in the patch notes that are given to us and then released to you guys. Was this change to the skill intentional? Not sure-- it's something we're going to have to ask OnsOn about.
My guess would be by tonight they'll let us know if it was intended/bad coding/something else.

Hopefully they'll be fixed or explained or..something. But, we'll have to wait.
Only reason I don't like them is because they're giving some mages big(ger) egos. >:
But it IS funny when ReXs_ gets roflstomped by 4+ FW's.
[More hilarity ensues on vent with everyone yelling at FW's also. 8D]

I definately think that flame walkers should have been empowered because what they were before was completely useless. But I completely agree that what happened was over the top.

heres my issue. Ive ran with some mages that use flamewalkers for LN and some grinds. My fear along with a few others is that were going to suffer a roll back thanks to bad coding. If this is considered a "Glitch" then I would have to say every single mage "Should be banned for glitch abuse".
Oh wait, that would mean everyone with a 10x mage goes bye bye! The whole server would be rolled back a week, which means OS loses money due to mass quits! The list goes on....but if this was intentional, then MAYBE the flame walkers attack power should be where its at, just cut in half to keep everyone happy.
I dont like this one bit. I spent the last week using all my 1 day 100% exp cards to hurry and get to 95 and now im in fear of LOSING all the levels I gained over a "Bad Glitch" as many people are calling it.
There would be some supreme comfort in knowing if OS is either going to leave everyones exp and levels where they are at....or should I brace myself for a roll back and find myself back to level 90 -_-
This is why I would love to have a GM's direct response and not a qoute. I need to know if im going to have to pull another week of grinding out of my back-side or not.
Thanks

They wont rollback.. it isnt that serious. But I do agree it needs to be nerfed abit. From what Razia says, I presume they will change it soon

I sort of think the change was intentional.
In other fiesta versions, our skills are more powerful.
And when they release a new dungeon, it's no surprise that it's overpowered and needs to be nerfed to match our gameplay.
That's what I think happened here; they wanted to make FM more powerful but it wasn't adjusted to our version.
Though I could be completely wrong o-o

I doubt youll get the answer you seek. This games isnt nerfed to adjust gameplay, it is nerfed to make money. And it could be done a lot better, but I am willing to wager inner office politics are the issue.

1. Bad coding. A buff was obviously intentional, but the buff is too large.
2. They cannot rollback for it. It'd be too hard to figure out who 'abused' it and who didn't. This ain't like a quest.
3. Blame OOS.

Well, at least now i know that mages and those who grind with their 10x friends will not be suffering a ban or rollback. This is most satisfying news, but I still share concerns with everyone around the game.
Mages can easily take advantage of flame walkers in PVP kq hence why you will never catch me in there ^_^ yes, I'll be the first to admitt it, im skeerd of the FW's beastliness!
But, what about the mages that will reap the benifits of Flaming Mine's CKL and ToS's Shadow Master and Black Shadows? The 95 blues market is in for a major hike due to the ammount of blues we will probably see within the next week. Thats another topic to be discussed elsewhere, but Its still a concern of mine and those who make a profit off them.
My biggest concern is the Flame Walkers from shella's...no way can my friends push up to 9x without dt or ENDLESS grinding...shella's eat them alive >.< ARCHERS ARE NEEDED ONCE AGAIN *coughs* sorry...but there are many more concerns running through everyones heads....but whatever. Im just glad that no ones getting banned or rolled back :D
