OB question plz

Hey anyone think to fix the word filters for OB? like how u cant say words like;

"sexy"

but you could say a lot of other stuff that was possibly worse.....
and i did when i found out CB was ending 'tomorrow'. So i kinda tested out the range there. Also curious for any news of the new health pots? and other items....Good lookin out on the hint thread Rider everyone appreciated it.

I think abolish the filters completely. No game needs filters. Just make up some "Disclaimer" saying that you cannot be sued for using Insult related "Jargon" in-game.

Simple.

oh i completely agreee miz-
the only thing u couldnt say in CB was F***, and sexy for some reason....
everything else was unfiltered. so thats why im wondering...cause id like to know going in
where the line is so I can toe the edge of it a bit........I liked it the way it was cause you could still express yourself

Well obviously it WAS a beta. However a good disclaimer and a grand group of lawers and you wont be sued. And then your the first game that allows "Free Speech"

By all means Filter Racist terms but not Insult related Jargon.

thats not really a good selling point if some kids mom is looking over his or her shoulder while he or she plays and sees a bunch of speech bubbles with all kinds of profanity in them all over the screen. at least half(?) of parents would be not cool with that idk...

Indeed, the terms of service make it clear that this game is aimed at both adults and children alike, so its likely the word filters will become more annoying rather than be removed. I mean c’mon, we can’t even say sh*t in the forums without getting a warning -.-u

Yeah the GM's are quite unfair. I had my "Do you drink Alcohol" poll deleted...

and lets not forget what they did to all those sigs....sure they shoulda been resized but damn they were ****s about it. they need a make yourself a sig guide stickied for people so they dont do it wrong....

that was a while ago but sum peoples sigs got deleted for being innapropriate or taking up whole pages with a picture ect. but it was like BAM!!! warnings and stuff.

Yes this game is for both children and adults to have fun and enjoy. I expect that if you are an adult, or near adult, you should be able to understand that children shouldn't be exposed to inappropriate content on a family based game/forum.

And if you happened to skip reading the ToS here's the part where it speaks of this issue:

3. Upload, post, email or otherwise transmit through any OUTSPARK Game any material that: (i) is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortuous, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, invasive of another's privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable...

4. Harm minors in any way; ]

Most other games have the same ToS so you should be well aware of these terms and be able to abide by them as it is not hard to do so.

hey thanks for responding Rider appreciate it-
however my question was more about the filters on OB, like in CB when they replace your words with question marks? i was just wondering if some one added more words to the censor is all.
I love the TOS are you ****ing kidding? its sweet.
