Heal amount.......

I'm new to the game, and I don't know all the little in and out tricks, so I turn to you guys.

My intended build is a 25 Spirit, 10 End, rest Str Cleric (Lvl 24), and I heal for about 150-170 damage. But I see people healing for 300-400 damage, and I just can't keep up against the damage. Is there something wrong with my build, or does gear affect how much you heal for? Or do they all have set items that I don't to increase my heal?

Emm... It is hard to say without not knowing who you are comparing yourself with, but i will try.
If you cannot keep up with the damage (and since you are saying you are seeing people healing for larger amounts), there is two possibilities: one, that these people has 'Heal' empowered, which means that they decreased either the cooldown or the power (amount healed), or both, of the skill via skill empowerment points (those that you get every odd level); two, that your survability is inferior to theirs, which in this case, it is not only your build but also your gears what affects the situation.

A character's survability is given by their gears and build. Stats like END, DEX, and SPR in gears or build help you build up that survability. END in build adds defense, block rate (means you 'block' an attack) and HP; END in gears add HP and defense. SPR in build adds magical defense, critical rate, and SP; SPR in gears adds magical defense and SP. DEX adds Aim and Evasion.

You probably wanna check these variables when comparing yourself with some other person before you make conclusions. If you are matched with the other person, then I would say, it is just practice or more experience healing.

Make sure you have the latest heal rank which i think is 4 at that level.

That should make you heal that much

It sounds like your empowerments. You should be healing more than that at 24. Make sure your heals are empowered for base power and cool down. You will be able to heal more and heal faster.

The only other thing I can suggest is making sure you update your skill bar with any newly purchased skills.

Thank you all for the help. I figured it out. I didn't realise that the skill bar and my skills didn't communicate the change when I upgraded them. So I was still healing with a level 1 skill when I had my level 4 in it. I'm totally feeling my newb factor tonight. xD
