Ok, I'll come right out and say it. I'm a complete noob at this game. I got my mage to 20 after playing for a day and all these quests are just "amg you gotta job change" since 18. My issue: I cannot, for the life of me, kill my "shadow" at the end. I've tried kiting it, everything, I just run out of HP potions and stones. My character has almost everything +2, which I assume is good for my level? It's an int build mage.

U should be fine if u look for a cleric and ask him nicely for an Endure Buff (lvl 47+ clerics can do it) to increase ur max HP, use T1 Def-Vit buff scrolls, get some t1 pots also. As a mage, u really need those buffs because mages have very low hp and def. Good luck.

Buy a stack or two of potions (50-100)
Buy a t2 vit scroll
Ask nicely for a cleric buff at Shutian in Eldy
If you can, get a mdef scroll, defence scroll and possible an eva scroll

Go in there with your weapon off- when he spawns re-equip it and kill
When it gets to the bit where you have to follow the blue light- unequip your weapon again
Equip it when everything spawns
Kill the Marlone soldier/Archer first, then the golem
now attack your shadow- spam all your skills while staring at your health bar
Use stones whenever possible and potions whenever you hit 1/2-1/3 health
Kill the golems when they spawn immediately

1 stack of hp pot
1 stack of sp pot
full hp/sp stones

when ur about to enter the the first fight, take off ur armor and weapon before talking to sean. then when u see ur clone, put ur armor back on. Same thing for the final battle, when ur running to the red stone, take off ur armor/wep, then after he spawns put them back on.

Heal as necessary, but not right away. Heal after you are about 50% health. Use Pot, wait till 50, use stone, then use pot after. Pots cool faster so use it first in a string of heals. but make sure u don't run out!

And a Vit/Def scroll is all ur really need, eva/aim are nice too.

Remember, don't heal after the first attack, thats probably the reason people fail so much, wait till ur health is lower. Hp stones heal 250, so wait till ur 200-250 down to use em.
