Is warrior for me?

Hey guys i'm pretty new to fiesta and im seeking some advice.

I have a lvl 12 mage and am having great fun with him, but people on the forums are saying that unless you have a Ton of pots, once you get higher you cant solo.

How true is this and what would be a good alternative.

Also i like doing damage more than healing.

Well, if you don't mind partying with friends, stay mage, I personally dabble in all four classes. :3 But, do what you feel necessary, when I don't feel like dying, I go on my END/SPR fighter, other than that I'm usually on my mage.

Lv 50 Fighter - Pure End
Lv 55 Mage -pure Int
Lv37 Cleric - End/spr
Lv 28 Archer- Pure Dex

Mage can be really hard to work with hp-wise until you hit about level 25 or so. Then you're finally doing more damage than you're taking, and have no trouble soloing or duoing (although teaming up is more efficient and cheaper with hp stones, as well as sp stones if you have a cleric that will Restore your LifeTap.)

As far as dealing damage, there is no better class than the mage. Damage output for warriors is definitely not as good as a mage's, no matter the build. They're the class build to take the damage, rather than deal it.
