Solstice: Reborn! The Explorer's Corner [10/11-10/18]

Hello explorers!

This is the official thread for the explorer's entry into Solstice: Reborn!. For those not familiar with Phibes post about this particular entry, here it is:


To qualify, each week a royal servant will post a list of very specific locations in the forums. Post pictures of yourself at each location to prove that you know how to get around. Then, take a picture of yourself with the specified NPC, and teach us, in a paragraph or two write a bit about them: that their name, their story and why someone might need to talk to them, etc

New explorers will be accepted each week, up to 100 before it is time to explore the untamed wilds of the new Xen.

This week, Panda will be playing the role of 'royal servant'! Below you will find a list of 5 very specific locations. Your job is to take a screen shot of you at each of these 5 locations and post the shots here, labeling which location is which. You will also need to find the two specified NPCs and write a bit about them.

This thread will be open till 10/18. At around 5:30pm PDT, this thread will be closed and another will open at that time. The locations and NPCs will change, of course.

This week's round is made special for high-level players! Why not try teaming up and doing it as a group?

While crossing the Jot Bridge, Bob and Marley called me to take a look on a giant frozen fish. We were all staring at it's sharp teeth, when it's eyes start glowing, and a flashing red blind us all. We woke up a few seconds after in an underground dark city that looked like Arcarinas Square.

A man ran to us : Are you all ok?
Me : Yes, we are fine, thank you. Where are we?
Reifield : You are in the underground city of Bryn, or you may call it, Lost Bryn. The souls of all the brave warriors that died fighting Alastor wonder here, waiting for the Light of Jureah to come and deliver them.
Me : But, I didn't fight Alastor, I was gazing at the fish under the Jot Bridge, then there was a flashing light, then we were here.
Reifield : Yes, you found the secret passage to the Lost City. And now, you really need to find a way out of here before Alastor finds you, otherwise you will be stuck here forever.
Me : Ugh, how can I get out of here? I really don't feel like spending eternity with the company of Alastor, he has bad breath problems.
Reifield : I think I could help you, but, I need to ask you for a favor first.
Me : Sure, what can I do for you?
Reifield : My name is Reifield, and I serve Vlady, he is famous for his magic and alchemy.
Me : Never heard of him ...
Reifield : Anyways, he always sends me to dangerous missions to get him the ingredients he needs for his experiments. I once retrieved the ears of a rabid bats from a dark cave, and the jawbone of a giant fish, that giant fish took two of his fingers. But this time, he wants me to kill one of Alastor's minion, and get him his 11 skeleton bones, his heart and his skeleton ring. But I'm too weak, and I'll surely die trying to fight him. Can you please help me?
Me : If you promise to get out of here, I will go find that minion and get you his skeleton back
Reifield : I promise

As soon as I took my sword out hoping that I would find that minion before Alastor knows of my presence, a horde of skeletons, leaded by a mounted minion with a shiny red ring, was marching towards me. Too late, I've been detected.
I'm glad that my boys and my tiggy were hungry, because it took us less then 5 minutes to defeat them all. I had to fight with the boys to get the minion's 11 bones, the heart and the ring before they chew on them.
I went back to Reifield and handed over the bones.

Reifield : Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I don't know what I would have done without you. Now, to keep my promise, I will send you back to the world of living. Thank you again brave one, and may the Blessing of Jureah protects you.

A flashing red light blinds us all. When we woke up, we were back on the bridge near the frozen fish.

Was that a dream? I guess the only way to find out would be to smell the breath of my boys and the tiggy.

After attempting to flee a rare vile breed of xen monsters known as "Panda-chan" and "Cat-Chan", I slowly managed to find the soul in the underground town of Lost Brynhild. Reifield, shooken up, slowly told me of his tale. "Being given so many errands, let me give an example." "I retrieved the ears of rabid bats from a dark cave, and I collected the jawbone of a giant fish." "It was scary, let me tell you..."

"Meh", I replied. "I have something more scary: Being stuck with a Cat and a Panda..."

"GASP! You don't mean...!?" He exclaimed loudly. I quickly hushed him thereafter not to alert the two fearsome beings in the land of Xen.

Upon gazing back. I noticed then the poor guy was missing two fingers. I asked him if he was attacked by the fearsome chan duo.

"Oh no." "I lost two of my fingers last time with that fish!" "If it was Panda-chan and Cat-chan...I wouldn't even be alive." "I encountered them earlier, but thank goodness for those Playing Dead courses I took!"

Thank Juleah this brave soul survived. Now I must continue to stay alive myself! Especially when "Panda-chan" and "Cat-Chan" read this. *Runs away*

I decided to visit the dark city of Brynhild. Going through the smelly sewers...and then every girls nightmare...RATS, I finally got to Lost Brynhild. Wow they really let that place go O_O
All the little NPC's were gathered in the center because GOD that place is dark and there are some really creepy monsters lurking outside the crates protecting the inner circle of the city.
There I met Reifield. We had a very long conversation about his adventures in Solstice. He told me he collected ears from rabid bats which I found VERY odd and he lost 2 fingers collecting the jawbones of giant fish... HEY I wonder if thats the same fish I saw at Jot bridge

Reifield thinks it's his destiny to serve the alchemist Vlady. In running errands for him, he went into dark caves to collect the ears of rabid bats. He also collected the jawbone off a large fish. This is how he lost two fingers. His current task is to collect bones from Lost Brynhild, and he begs for your help. It's no fun being beaten.
