Hey guys I just made my first character (I'm new) which is a cleric today.
I got him to level ten by questing/KQ and i thought it was fun.
But before I get to a high level I'd like to know:
1. Are clerics good at soloing and having fun while doing so?
2. Is putting 25 points in spr and then the rest in END a good solo/group/KQ build?
3. Do clerics completely fail at everything but healing?
Thanks for your time at answering if you do.
*If cleric isn't a choice for what I sated, what a good alternative?
I didnt think mage would be good because I dont like dieing that much

1. Soloing is never really fun. So don't expect it to be fun, unless you truly enjoy it.
2. Putting 25 points in SPR and the rest in END is a good group build. It's not the best build for a KQ, and for soloing, it sucks. 'nuff said.
3. Clerics are necessary to any party. Buffs and endure mean a lot, not to mention that some clerics even outdamage fighters of the same level. So no, they don't truly fail.

Plus Revive, can't forget that.

If the build that I've already started to spec into sucks, do I have to make a new character to get a better one. HELP what should i do?
Also what should i put my skill things in (the ones from every odd lvl)????

Well, technically you can always find a way to work around a 'messed up' build (I know I feel like changing my cleric's build a little) As long as you didn't put too many points in the wrong stat, but I believe the cash shop has an item that can fix it.
I myself would rather try and work around it because once I get a character to a certain lvl I'm not willing to restart.
As for skill empowerment points, it depends on what you plan to do. I know some people might think what I've done is stupid, but a lot of my points went to my support skills. But then again, I made my cleric as a full support :P So decrease SP consumption & decreased cooldown time for my Heal. Um ... I put a couple points on a skill I wish I didn't =_=;
But anyways, yeah ... it all depends on what you want to do

I spam healed Consealed Prison at 15 with 40 potions, the tank was a 45 fighter. It's hell to heal 2.8k health with each hit at 100, but luckily I got pimped to 19 and reduced cooldown costs less problem.

I like being support, so I put my skill empower points into reducing the cool time for Heal and SP consumption. I also maxed out the effect time for invincible (a skill you'll get later).
I also have a few points invested in skills I'd like to take back, but oh well. It's working out fine so far. ^^

False. 25 Spirit, rest endurance is an excellent build for solo, and a good build for KQ where if by some gross quirk of nature you're expected to be the main tank, the magic defence alone will help you survive.
Havvoc - Clerics are pretty much the slowest, but most durable combatants in the whole game. They can kill any monster that cannot two-shot them, and a few that can. The only issue is time. They're pretty good tankers, they can frequently unload some extra damage to help out a party, and their mere presence makes every one of your party mates get a damage boost.
I'll agree though, solo isn't that fun for any class. It's more fun to make some friends and chatter away the grind time. Clerics are still excellent at solo, they just solo in a different way to the more fragile classes.

I'd go so far and say that Clerics are the most boring job to solo because although they are enduring and usually don't die even when soloing, they don't have much skills that raise their damage, so they end up leveling slowest when soloing.
But yeah the game is pretty pary-oriented for all jobs. Cleric+Fighter party is pretty nice imo...

Not true. I got that build and I solo all the time..and I'm also cabable of being runner(barely) in Robo kq IF the mobs don't get too close to me and I got a speed scroll(and also if some idiot doesn't go on and die in front of me dragging robo behind him/her)..but still, I'm cabable of doing it even if not that well.

LMAO! That is my build exactly and I solo all the time. I have yet to lose all my lives in a KQ that is a success either. In fact, I end up the last one alive. Defense is your best friend when mobbed, especially if you're class isn't ment to be a main damage dealer.
Soloing is... fine at lower levels but it gets harder and harder as you level up. You're ment to party in this game. You /can/ solo but it gets boring. Even when I don't party, I find a mage or someone nice who's training in the same area to chat with and randomly heal. That way I don't get any exp or drop split but avoid dieing of boredom. :)
I'm not going to tell you how to spend your skill points, I'll just tell you what I'm doing with mine:
I put +5 into SP consumption on Heal (SP consumption is halved), +5 into attack power on Bash (raises damage by 50%.) I am going to put +5 in Bash's SP consumption. These are the skills I use the most besides Restore which doesn't use anywhere near enough SP for me to consider empowerment. lol.
I may do some cooldown for Revive but I can easily Revive 3 people before time runs out and I always make my party get a second cleric, so it's not really needed (for me.)
I'm starting to regret the two I put into Heal's cooldown. Restore and Invinsible make up for it for the time being... hopefully I'll enjoy those 0.3 seconds of no cooldown in the future.
