i'm having the problem too...when i press log in i get an error of "?!" then i click ok then another error "?! 2" i click ok again it just take me back to the main login screen again.

I have XP, Intel(R) Celeron(R) 2.40MHz CPU, 992 MB of RAM...not sure about video card.
2) Your Internet Connection speed (Cable aka Road Runner)

You can find this information by clicking

1) Start
2) Run
3) Type in 'dxdiag'
4) Press Enter

This should give you all the information that you need. Thank you those of you who have submitted their information, we have now determined that the message you are receiving is a generic network error message. You could receive it anytime your machine can't resolve our servers.

It could be because of the following reasons:

1) Your network is down or your wire isn't fully plugged in
2) Your wireless is going in and out and does not have a consistent connection
3) Our DNS changes have not updated in your ISP's records

We believe the majority of the users affected by this are encountering issue #3 and it should resolve itself eventually when your ISP resets your DNS which occurs usually every 24 hours unless you have a static IP. If you have a static IP you will have to contact your ISP directly and have them reset it.
