View Full Version : How do I properly build a solo cleric?

I've heard of a few different solo builds for a Cleric, such as 3:1 Str/End, 25 Spr rest Str, FULL Str, 25 Spr/End rest Str, etc. Which one is the best for soloing? I don't want to mess up the distribution of my stat points, because it seems that my Str/End/Spr are going up on their own without having any points spent on them, so I don't know if I even need to put anything to them.
Also, what's a good way to make money in the early levels? So far all I've been doing is questing, saving all my ingredients.

There is no 'best' build. It will really come down to your personal preference. I don't think this game can be played with a recipe not to fail.
Now if you want to see all builds other clerics have reccomended, the best guide you will find it's Aeyr's Cleric Guide, it's stickied in the Cleric forums section.

^ This. ;)
As for money-making, I'm still searching for the best method even though I've played this game for some time. There are so many ways; selling your drops to NPC/purchase stores, making scrolls and stones and sell them, farm bosses for greens and blues and sell them, etc etc. You just need to experiment more. It's the same as learning to play your class. For me, I prefer to just sell drops (materials) to purchase stores and NPC the rests that no one wants. Saves time.
Also, check out Aeyr's Cleric Guide, like librachan has mentioned. Have fun playing cleric! :)

It might have sounded like a smart@ss answer, but its true. Solo clerics have to be extremely patient compared to everyone else, since with a mage duo you can do things 3x the speed (if not more) compared to soloing.
As for a build, I recommend you picking Full str, or 25spr rest str

Going 25SPR, rest STR, and gonna try for END on all my armor to help ease the squishiness.
I'm level 22 now, trying to save up for some +6 equipment, spending my time running Iyzel tower again and again. The place is a gold mine in loot. I've only got 200s so far, but I think it's adding up.

200s DOES add up.
But if you've got Stone Production, you can do a heck of a lot worse than getting into the stone market sale store racket. A few minutes down in Echo Cave to pick up some LQ Copper Ore, a few silver in Nina's pocket, lots of production time, and you've got a whole store worth of T1 Lix.
Use your production skills, a lot.
As for builds, one thing you should strongly consider is putting skill points into powering up your attacks. If it's just you against the world, and you can only fight one monster at a time, you'd better be able to make short work of it.

T1 Lix. I'll give that a try. Thanks.
