There is a server check going on people. So for the New people. Nothing is wrong with your computer. Yes they did announce in the game this would happen. No there is nothing you or we can do except wait. Thank you for your time. They will put the game server back online when they are ready.

(No this is not official, just my facts)

For those of you who are unfamiliar with the message "Checking Server" I means they are inspecting it and making any and all adjustments or repairs they need to keep SoS running smooth for us.

Anyone who is confused with TimeZones. I did a google search on behalf of everyone. They run on the Timezone PDT which is -7 hours from general time. Alot of people confuse this with PST(Pacific Standard Time) which is -8 hours from General time.

The SoS server went down a approximately 5:00pm PDT(-7GMT) and is currently unknown when it will be up and running again.

If I think of anything else, I will update. Thanks for not pruning my post out Outspark staff~

Yeah. This might happen alot or a little in the next few days depending on how many bugs surface. It might be just to see how things are working out now that ppl are starting to get somewhere. Its just a test. I'm sure a Staff member will inform us soon.

Acually. 5:00 is when it went down. look at the time clock they have on thier site on the bottom of your page. Thier announcement was not correct. It should have said "will be going down at 5:00" instead of "will be down till".

So the startup time is a mystery still yet.

Don't assume too much. The server went down at 5:00 THEIR time. and it is now 5:25 their time. So don't keep your hopes up.

Yeah It would be nice if it was only an hour long. However, if they are doing maintenance on the server or game then it could be much longer. They only just got into warming up the server. It could be rather buggy yet.

No, read the bottom of this Page where it says
"All times are GMT -7. The time now is 05:31 PM."

That is they time they use.

I discovered a misread in my times unfortunately. It is actually 5:34 pm PDT. It would have been 4:34 PST. I tend to forget the whole Pacific Standard and Pacific Daylight thing...

You were right. I was thinking PST. So, you were correct, I corrected myself in a previous post.

Correction again. I was right the first time. time.gov doesnt show PDT, only PST, which is one hour behind PDT. so thier clock on thier site is correct.

Personally, I can think of reasons not to post it, but I also feel it is a little unprofessional to do something like this without making an announcement for people who are unaware of the initial statements. These people shouldn't have to run around asking/bugging other people for answers, they should have given them an answer themselves.

*edit* hehe... my post count is so small especially considering my join date... I joined back in the Fiesta CB, didn't get into the SOS CB, so I haven't gotten to try it out yet.

At least it is only a server check. As far as I know. If that is all they are doing, running a check for some fixes, we won't need to re-download anything. Work with the server is most of the time separate with what is installed on your computer

If you played Closed beta or had CB installed on your computer. Un install all of your SoS and reinstall the new client again.

i DID have the CB version still installed on my comp when i did all this,

ok heres what iv done, checked the site this morning, saw it was open beta release today and /splooged. so i kept checkign back for when the DL would be available. once it was i DL and installed and from then on i saw the problem i explained a few posts up. after doign some checiking i saw the advice to uninstall everythingn and reinstall. so i have uninstalled EVERYTHING, launcher AND SoS. and then reinstalled from the client made available today and still having this problem.

OK now that i have u all cought up....FIX ME :*(

If you are getting a 401 error, make sure your information is correct. If you still get it, make a new account. It appears some accounts might not have been carried over to the SOS servers.

As I said, some accounts seem to have been left out in the transfer to the SOS server, I dunno. blackbanned was getting 401 error too, I made this and got in. Best advice I can give you is make a new acc.

Alright, looking at your join date and knowing myself of an issue for accounts of that time(mine was blackbanned which was made in July) you need to make a new account. Go make a gmail account and sign up with it(gmail is just really fast). After you sign up, use that account, you should have no issues getting in.

You might like to know that it seems some accounts simply cannot log in. I was getting a 401 with my old acc from the Fiesta CB, it couldn't get it. I made this and got in fine.

NO... It seems some older accounts, and possibly some newer ones, were not carried to the SOS server or something. I don't fully understand. My old acc was made in July and it couldn't get in to SOS. It's weird, it's like they forgot about us *cries*
