To end discussion about this "New" Windslayer

Closed Beta will be available in Korea on December 24, 2010. A english version will not be released any time soon because it hasn't even came out in the original language yet.

This new game is probably why Outspark has not been able to contact them for updates/ fixes efficiently. We just need to be patient because badgering the GMs of Outspark isn't going to get the bugs fixed any faster; it will just be putting more stress on them.

I know this is disappointing to some of the long-time Windslayers. But try to enjoy what we have here at Outspark.

This new game will be maintained by Yahoo Games, so any further discussion about the new Windslayer will be considered 3rd party.

I will not be replying to any posts on this thread.

Well, its glad to know what's going on, but why wouldn't the gms just tell us this? It wouldn't hurt the players in fact, it would have created more :P. By ignoring us for like almost a year, its no surprise the players would leave.

Those are both kings and a king can't check/checkmate another king. A king can only check/take pieces that are within one square of it. Also, a king is not allowed to check/take another piece if taking that piece puts it in check. So a king can never check/take another king because then it would be putting itself in check.

What you have there is a stalemate ...

Actually, a sign of winning in a game of Chess usually consists of taking the winner's King and toppling over the loser's King. That's what is being depicted in the image. Thought I'd clear that up. ^^

I've not yet seen the 3D version of WS yet. Can't find the screenies. All I can say guys is this is a beacon of hope for WS to go back on track. Again, I shall relate this, like many other times I have done, to Solstice. Secret of the Solstice is getting a revamp also, being called Solstice: Reborn, if you have no yet already seen. Every week, it seems it's just applying code for future updates, and not getting anything really new. The creators of Solstice, DnC, have been working with their game, which is also getting a revamp, which is why Solstice has not been getting many things added. When Reborn comes out, I'm expecting much more frequent updates, since there will be much less change in code to update Reborn, due to both versions being so similar.

Same goes for WS. If the creators of WS are making a 3D WS version, then obviously they will be working on that; and it shows, hence the very few updates we are getting. What I'm expecting is that when 3D KWS is released, then Outspark will get that version, then the updates will be rolling in.

That's only my opinion of course. But I do believe that this is how it will turn out.

Erm...no. You lay down your king when you resign (before checkmate occurs) and laying down your king has nothing to do with the other players king.

I'm not talking about the chess match itself. AFTER the game has finished, the loser's King is put on it's side, depicting that it lost. This happens in matches won by resignation and checkmates. It's just to show that the game is over and who the winner was.
