OK so i played the CB and still ahd the software on my computer when i DL the OB client earlier today and installed it. the first time i attempted to launch it, the launch window came up, i entered my info clicked login. the login window disapeard and another screen appeared for maybe 5 sec, from what i could read it was an updater. then that disappeard as well and there was no further action. so i started up SoS launcher again, enterd info again and clicked login. again the launcher disappears, but only for a split sec. then it pops back up with my info still entered as if i never clicked the login button. and no matter how many times i click it, nothing changes. theres no error message. it just doesnt do anything. so after doing some research on the forums and some people suggesting to uninstall everything, both the launcher and SoS and reinstalling fresh i did this and still having the exact same problem. PLZ help, i really wanna get playing and iv been dealing with this sence the client was made availble, really frustrated by now. would LUZ a GMs help with this. im gonna be refreshing this thread over and over so plz give me a solution or if u need more info i can give that as well just lemme know what u need.

Hey, peeps. SoS is undergoing some crap at the momment, the same thing happened to me. I guess, if you want to wait till like...12:00 at night go ahead. I live in New York. I got school and stuff to deal about for now, but yeah.

1) SoS does work, but no can play the OB for now till tomorrow or whenever they fix it.
2) Fiesta had the same problem as well, when it became OB people couldn't go on for 2 days, or so i heard. =\ (Just might be a lie.)

This is natural, have patience. Believe in the GM's, for now i bid you adou..or however it's spelled. =]

As am I. Vista is automatically saying the program is not responding, thankfully, and letting me close Xenclient.exe.

in answer to this u are incorrect though u probably wont find out from reading this post but peopel HAVE been playing and are able to log on, the problem u are talking abut has been semi fixed for prob about 85% of players by makign a new account. my problem howver seems to be completly unrelated and as of yet completly unaddressed. thx for trying tho, play again later! >.<

o.o Oh, i thought it was me. I did just check, i just relized i do not have Open GL at all! I have created a new account...and for one thing. The update thing pops up for 2 seconds and then vanished and goes back to the login screen, so help me out.

Yeah, that's what happens akidax. I don't know if the inability to start the client is connected with the log-in issue. I might try installing the latest driver for my graphics card. Maybe that's why the client won't start up?

I had the 401 error earlier, but that's easily remedied by making a new account, so I don't understand why there's so many threads about it. =P

Hey, i have a old version of Nvidia, i thought it was updated. =\ (Dad lies to me.) So, anyway, could you give me a link where to download an update to a driver. (I don't know how to locate the info anyway.)

I'm telling Vista to search for it itself. If that fails (it probably will), you can go to the SoS homepage, then to the download page, and find links to drivers there. Choose the appropriate link.

Ok, so im downloading a update to the driver, this is getting idiotic...-_- i might not be able to play it. anyway...how do you make Vista find it for it'self?

-EDIT-
I just got Vista. So im kinda new to it.

I don't think that'll work. It thinks I have the latest version, which is pretty old. So go to the download page and find the right link.

Vista's pretty much retarded in almost every way.

For the easy way, go to control panel > System > Device Manager > Display adapters.

By the way. Why isn't anyone helping? =P

-Edit-
I ran the display check, it found nothing. IT said it was up-to-date. So, i closed it and posted this edit.

Yeah, mine said that too. Go to NVIDIA's homepage or whatever and get it from there. I did that for my Radeon adapter. Which is taking forever, might I add. One might that I would take this time to do my homework, but alas, I won't. =)

If you check your driver details, the date is probably pretty old. Mine is. Was.

Hmm, let's see...I did check Nvidia's homepage. I'm not a very good computer master, so updating drivers is a big problem for me.

Updating my graphics card driver did the job. =) So for anyone having the same problems we are (the client crashing), updating would be the answer.
