stats for mage

well im new to the game, wasn't in closed beta. anyway i want to play mage and am a little unsure on what stats ill need, i was assuming int but after that im not sure. also i tried playing in true ragnarok style e.g. setting up my mage stats as the newb character and killing mobs super slowwly so that when i do becom a mage my stats are in order, however i was told that when i change my class i can redo all my stat points. if this is the case con some1 tell me so i can just pump into power and kill quikly then change to mage. so my two questions are what stats do mages need (and the ratio of stat point distribution) and can u reset ur stats after/ during class change?

yes, you can reset your stat points when you change jobs.

For my mage I go full int with the odd point to pow so that I can use the next staff. So like, put a point in pow at lvl 24, and then again at lvl 33 or 34 (I forget when the next upgrade is exactly). But that's just the way that I like to play, you should do whatever works for you.
