So....I was looking at the different levels of the skill, and aside from higher SP consumptions, I don't see a difference. They all last for 10 seconds, have the same cast time and cool down time.
So what's the advantage of buying the higher levels? Or, am I just going stupid here?

If I recall correctly, they used to have how much damage they absorbed, but was removed. It's still best to upgrade your invince skill; each upgrade increase the damage that invince can absorb and more likely to last the whole time than if you kept the first level of invince through your cleric's life.

That is correct. The higher the level of Invicibility, the greater the amount of damage it well take before breaking. I don't know how it is coded.
It is less effective on lower level charactors. I think this is because the damage delt is a function of their defence and the power of the attack.
For example. mid-level people can get over 9000 hp damage on level 1 slimes. This is near about the number of HP most level 100 fighter have. So, if you cast invincibility on a level 20 charctor thinking it will protect them to run through the gate between CP and SEG ... they will likely get killed because the monster will break the invin in 1 or 2 hits.
That is why an invincibility that reduced the damage by a fixed amount for 10 second would be better. So for example ... if invince protected for 1000 HP ... then if you were hit for a 1200 crit and a 600 normal attack ... you would only recieve 200 damage because the other 600 is below the protected amount. As it is now ... you would recieve the 200 ... the invin would break ... and the you get 600 more for 800 total damage.
So a invin that reduced damage for a set time lime would be much more useful than one that breaks so easy.

Mm, no, I think it's basically a temporary boost in maximum HP.
So, if the shield covers for 5000 damage, once 5000 damage has been dealt, it will start affecting your regular HP.
At least this is what I've researched and experienced. Don't take me for granted. I'm not 100% sure on this, but I'm pretty confident.

wut? anyway just get it.. u need it. veri useful when used with quicken at lv 68. I was like u and wondered what's the difference but anyhow I just upgraded it and well it made a difference. I could feel it last longer on people I casted it on than a lower level invincible. Maybe there's OS made a typo? >.< just like violet being vilolet. xD

That is basically what I said ... however ... it does not appear as clear cut as that. There is somenthing about the level of the spell, level of the attacking monster, and the level of the recieving charactor each of which effects the "size" of the damage block you get.
In other words ... it only gives 5000 to a person near the cleric's level ... but only 500 to a charactor 10 -20 levels below the clerics level. This is different than endure which is a pure HP boost.

Actually, I'm relatively certain it's more based on damage taken, than it is on hp, but the two are related.
Basically, if I cast my Invince on a level 105 full end full +9 tank, it will last for probably 10 seconds before breaking, depending on what's attacking. (Meaning the knight takes quite a few hits without any health being taken.)
Whereas if I cast it on a 105 squishy mage, it'll take one hit, break, and the mage will be dead.
This is because the amount of damage done on the fighter is much less than what is done on the mages, since the knight is going to have a much higher defense, and thus take less damage.
It still end coming back to how much hp is lost though, since that's how we quantify damage taken...
So I guess I just said the same thing...
Sorry! Bored I guess! <3

Exactly, treat it like an invisible HP boost, because it also depends on someone's Def and MDef.

not a problem though, nobody ever checks the cleric section. I can pretty much garuntee that this won't be closed unless someone takes the time to report it.
