Question about skill

I want to ask why the skill master has sell two same skill book but different level?? Is that the same skill? If i add the lower level skill then learn the higher level skill, the skill point will disappear????

same skill but different tier... higher tier = higher dmg plus sp intake plus cooldown(probably)

Alright each skill has increasing levels, and with each level comes higher power and SP consumption. Only the early mage skills of Magic Missle and Firebolt increase in Cooldown time once. Also when you learn the new level all points previously put into that skill for damage and whatnot will remain for the higher levels. Also you can use a lower level skill by pressing the arrows under the skill in the skill menu to switch between levels, then puting the level you want on a hotkey. Please note that just because you BOUGHT the next level of a skill, you do not automatically use it instead of the old one. You actually have to replace it with the new level from the skill menu. In any case hope this helps.
