In my time playing this game, i never got to Job Change to a Predictor, If you did please answer my questions.
Do you still get to Heal?
Buff?
Revive?
Illusion Quake?
What is your Max Hit?
Is it worth it?
Would you rather be an Acolyte again?

No Acolyte skills ever, in the Predictor's repetoir.(Some skills are possibly reclaimed at later upgrades through job-change if you look at skills)
You heal through Assist Heal, which is HoT.
My damage was decent for a pure POW in Witchwood Forest.
No, because it took so long time(for this game) to level up, thanks to relying to party.
And with the nerfed duration time, I have less of a reason to play the class gain despite the fun.

Since you're a previous Predictor can you give me a run down on the spells? Its what I want to go for and I've read the spell names on another site but I can't find out what they DO.
Trashknight

I can only give names for the spells after level 51.
Here are the starters:
Leve 45:
Force Blast(Standard attack), Protection(Self buff only for defense), Brace Up(Same here, just for Offensive.) and Assist Heal(Heals 250+hp over ten seconds, your lover so to speak. Can be used on others as well)
Other attacks:
Level 51: Time Shield, an attack that slows down the opponent. 30 Seconds cool down.
Level 56: Eurajor, Area of Effect buff that inreases MP for a set amount of time.
Level 61, Burning Hand: Stun spell.
If I forgot a spell or they have changed them, you can find them at the Skill merchant in Essene.

So I was thinking Predictor is pretty much a choice between POW and AGI but Force Blast is a spell. Is it effected by Int and whats the damage in comparison to raising your POW? We obviously won't ever reach Fighters in the same catagory of damage with our wands so how does Force Blast stack up in terms of damage?

I just made disciple today and I'm a bit disappointed with the damage I cause, I did more as a aco.But I'm guessing i messed up the stat distribution during the change and am willing to grow lvls to fix it. I never made it to disciple in CBT and am wondering what did you put your stats into? pow or int please tell me!!

Am very sure you would put all your points towards power, sincxe the buffs and the heal are not affected by your Int

Just go full pow once you change, then work on stam around..50+. If you dont go full pow in the beginning you have alot of trouble doing DPS =/.

The transition from being an aco to a disciple will be really hard especially if its your first time, because it is totally diffrent from the way you are used to play. Never put int in your stats! If you want to increase your force blast damage, use STR.

well thanks guys looks like I did mess up a bit:( but not to badly I still had most of my stats in pow and only put 3 into int. well it looks like it will be tough for me for awhile now. Good luck on leveling up!

It makes me wonder a bit about people not realising the game style is radically changed between Acolyte-Disciple/Neophyte-Scouter.(Not even close to same weapon, staffs doing almost no damage is basic, every weapon does more damage than those.)
Completly different skills and strategies. ^_^'

lol how lucky im still aco and can correct this !, so PWR is better for force blast, but the skills like illusion quake and such who were based on INT, u cant use them anymore/its not worth using them anymore or its just better go leave those skills be and put all for force blast?
any other details about this?
thx in forward ^^

that u are lucky and u dont get no acolyte skills u get all new ones hopefully u dont have to buy all those skills....yes basiclly use pow agi if u want a stronger attack than other disciple if u want more attack speed i would suggest pow/agi or pow/men not sure whats the difference and pow/sta if u party and want to be more of a tanker that is but its all ur personal preference and what u prefer just have to balance things out and your welcome cant really play but i can still help while i play

I have no idea what he said. Learn to use punctuation so people can read what you're saying. Please?
Anyway, when you turn into a Predictor you will lose ALL your Acolyte skills. This is the part people don't get. Predictor and Archers are NEW classes, not a continue on the old route like Rogue, Knight, Mage and Cleric. So no worries about Illusion Quake ^.^

Should add as well that Predictors called "Disciples" and Archers are called "Scouters".

I can't wait to become a Disciple. I didn't know that they lose all their skills when changing jobs so I almost decided to become Cleric after all. However, I finally want to fight, not only help (although it's nice and all)
I only wish I knew what Equipment to change what lvl when you become a Disciple.

All chars have different forms of autobuffs, and the ones from disciples are not even that great, so that's not really part of the pros of becoming disp.
As for all the other “great” skills, our healing truly rocks, shake mind sounds good but is not really that amazing (could potentially be kick *** at pvp at least), the MP increasing one is not really that useful (more HP increases survivability, more MP helps nothing with pot spamming as we know it), and the others are just the standard things every class has, at least up to around lvl 60+… only then things seem to get more interesting (we should ask strider about it I suppose).
Maybe a fun class, but definitely not crazy awesome.

So? I take my time. I work on my pro-CB and collect new intel for the discs meanwhile. I will break my old level anyway, the caps are on and we won't see any tier 3 in some time. I don't feel rushed, just weak. XD

umm...really newb question
whats a templer?
Lost_Sage
01-19-2008, 03:07 PM
A templar is a disicple with great distinction...
A disciple: A second line fighter that uses physical and magical abilites to fight enemies. They buff themselves and use magic strengthened attacks to fight. They could also use a overtime healing spell. This class will be available at lv45. (Acolyte only)
Acolyte: A rookie healer in Sos

Wait what?
Templars are the next tier of disciples, don't say things in ways that a newbie will easily misunderstand.
As for the rest, which one of our skills has been confirmed to be powered by magic?
And also, it's not we "could" heal overtime, that's actually the only way we do it.
As for buffing ourselves, all characters can, so that's not a singularity of the disciples.

Another question for those Disciples out there.
Does INT affect your skills? Like Assist Heal or like anything else that has a timer? I know it doesn't affect Force Blast, but does it affect anything else?
Also, what is the recommended build?

First you come stating facts about disciples and now you ask about them?? -.-u *sigh*
Fine then, as it has already been told, int has no effect on the “magical” skills of disciples (like assist heal, it was tested during CB), and whether it has an effect over later lvl skills (66+), it’s improbable on skills like chain block and as for anything else, unless the descriptions say something on that lines and someone actually tests it, it’s safer to assume it doesn’t.
As for recommended builds, you’re someone who lurks these forums so just search around, there’re already a few topics about it.

Helping is nice and all, no problem there.
The problem comes when you start claiming things that are not real or you just "guess" things and give them as facts. So, unless you actually know what you're talking about, it's better to just stay quiet or simply ask about it, no one’s gonna bite you for it you know?

Guys, i just change to a disciple.
I'm stunned on how weak i am, i was dealing much damage as an aco.
I read carefully this topic and build something like this:
45 in pow
3 in sta
Doesn't remember pts in other Stats...
I this a normal beahviour?
For example as an aco, i was dealing 110 on my monster north eir, and now just 90 with buff...
Am i missing something.

Random thread to ask this in...lol
But to answer your question, you should be going full INT! WIS only gives you more max MP. INT increases your magic attack (meaning all your skills).
If you are going to change to Disciple just do full INT the whole way. If you will be going Cleric, you can put some WIS if you think you need it.
You should always have way more INT then anything else!

Don't worry. Everyone has to learn from experience. I have seen early pow/men-builds before at level 50 for both Disciples and Scouts. Me myself tested men on my apprentice already around level 30.XD
Then came the men-"fix"... ._.
