I think alot of people will be a archer, they will advantages till like level 66 but then they will get the upper hand later I believe.
So what are you gonna do?

i have a question... do you have to become and Assasin first then become a Shadow master? Or are they both different classes? If you choose to be a Assassin you can't pick Shadow Master? I'm kind of confused...

Assasin and shadow master are just different levels on the same upgrade path. you first have to become rogue, then assasin, then shadow master. although the later classes are not implemented yet, and it will take a VERY long time to get to those levels like lvl 131, probably only for dedicated people with a LOT of time.
Neophyte>rogue(lvl 66)>assasin>shadow master
OR
Neophyte>scout(lvl 45)>Archer>etc

yes yes you are right back in closed beta they alowed you to click on the classes with no image on them and it showed there discription and there lvl somewhat like the skill tree menue to see the abilty of all your skills also to add on to this i think it was lvl 8x for assassin and lvl 13x or 12x if rember right for shadow master. archer i think it was about 9 lvls more then rouges path.

I want to be a rogue, but scout changes come sooner and i might be tempted to go for it. don't know how i feel about not being good at close range. will being an archer make me party dependent? rogues+ can hang alone...thanks groovey.

Scouters can solo, trust me. I have seen them solo.(Shiki, fainscream, Ezequiel, Rokushaku and a few others)

Do Neophytes get an option to change stats at Lv45 if they want to become Scout? I haven't decided yet, but likely going Rogue path. However, getting to Lv66 seems very long. If Scouts can solo well like Neophytes, then... hmmmm :o

Man cig is a level 54 Archer I see him jetting through maps, rapid step does not speed you up that much, That archer rapid step move speeds you up more I think.

based on the level, i'm going to guess that scouts will PWN Neophyte in PvP for the next few weeks, as they are a higher class and have more abilities, gnome binding etc. then the roges will PWN the scouts when patient people get up to lvl 66, with the extra rogue abilities and increadible dammage in close combat.
i don't think you can really say one path is better then the other, they are just different, with different playing styles and abilities.

Scouts and Predictors will pwn for the simple fact everyone is lazy and wanna be stronger for low level, Imma be a rouge all the way.

What makes Scouters(Archers, CB) dangerous was how they could attack at a steady rate unlike Apprentices(Magicians, CB), plus how they could Parasite the Invisble-skill. >_>
Anklet Binding is like all other slow down-skills, nothing special, just annoying. You need to outlast the Scouter to kill it.(Ganking kills just about anyone in pvp, given the time.)

I am wondering...(it's probably a bad question)
If I go Archer(scout) at lv 45, can I still change my class back to Rogue at lv 66 or vice-versa?(just incase somebody decides they didn't like their change of class)
As for my opinion. I love archers, but if they do not come out with another class upgrade after archer, i will have to go for skill master, as archers will have a very weak endgame.

once you become an archer, you can't change your class to rogue...and there is a class upgrade after archer....the advancement is neophyte> scout > archer > ranger....think they just haven't implemented the later classes yet...

im staying on the rouge path(or else this name wouldnt match) my style is to strike fast and strike hard, use speed as your advantage and you will gain an upperhand.

the stretch from 35-45 takes a long time and is very slow for the Neo, i think i would only bother doing it once. getting to 66 with a neophyte will be a nightmare. if you want to go scouter at 45, then level another neophyte up to 66 then you have a lot of time and dedication! good luck leveling up your scout to ranger while leveling up a neophyte to shadowmaster.

ya u have to be a assassin first after a rogue..then u get your assassin to a shadow master, which is the highest rank for neophytes/rouges.

why did he say that, i think that as long as archers are balanced in this game, they could be as good as rouges...

Rouges are probably better than Archers in PVP.
I've only really come to this conclusion since archers tottally thrash us at killing mobs, so if the game is balanced and fair thats how it would be.

Just wait till assasins are implemented, dual wielding, double strike 0.1 attack time. Ankle binding will wear off, and archers can’t stay at a distance forever(rogues also run fast, and have blindsight, devils voice etc), and will get sliced up in no time in close combat.

the claws are pretty 0.0
im not sure if ill be thinking that when they're slicing through my armour though, meh, well have to wait, Warrior might be able to withstand Assasin

yes the claws are pretty.
i was actually thinking of that. as the assisins have mad attack speed, but low damage per hit. so work best on low amour opponents, slicing them to bits in seconds (low amour archers), but then much less effective against high amour opponents(warriors etc), 0.1 attack time won't do as much if you're only doing 20 damage per hit. i think the amour rating will make a big difference in defense against an assassin, so warriors might even fair better then archers who will not last long in short periods of close combat(i hope you have some butter and salt).
Assassins will also be able to run fast just like archers, ankle binding doesn’t last forever, the PvP area is of finite size, when the assassin catches the archer he can stun it, so I don’t think an archer will be able to totally avoid close combat. I guess the assassin will get several seconds of close combat before blind sight etc wear off and the archer can run and use ankle binding again, the question is if the assassin can deal fatal damage on the low amour archer in that period of time.
in reality it's all speculation, as nobody is at that level yet.

Thats what I said lol, that assassins would probably be better than archers at pvp.
Btw, where are you getting all this info on assassins? like duel weilding etc, do you have a website with all this info.

there is a lot of info at
http://www.solsticeplayer.com/forums
however the server seems to be down a lot nowadays.
they have a skill guide there for CB and also updated one for OB.
there was also a thread in these forums with pics of the outfits, claws etc. i was looking at it yesterday, i'll post the link when i locate it.

both~ my boyfriend made a char on my account (so he has easy access to my kron and gear + sparkcash) and is going in the path of a scout for me ^^; I doubt I'll be able to find all the demon blood by the time I'm 66, so a ranged class might take my ease off of stressing myself.
plus, it'll help me miss how much I adore fast-slashing, close-combat characters! :O
