Lateley, I've been adding some Wis every 2 lvls and sometimes add something to Men, normally I add to int..

I'm probably about pure INT right now. I think I've put one or two points into Wisdom about now and maybe one into health. I 'm not sure if I can still stat reset, I believe that we can though, I haven't been looking about the updates for the OB lately so yeah. But later on after I level up and I get more powerful and level 2+ spells that I'm going to reset my stats and such. Plus, I believe to use certain staffs that we have to put some points into power. But yeah, that's me and my opinion I guess.

I think putting some points in wisdom is kinda useless because it only adds to your MP when you can compensate it with pots. Oh well I think everybody has different builds.. ^^

what I did was go for str until I get 7 strength! Then I didn't have to worry checking for equips when I buy my staves. After that, I go int. Every 5th and 10th lvl, I put it all in sta, then rest to int, until I find another staff I could wield, then add the str I need for it, then go int again, then 5th and 10th lvl, sta, and so on... :3

I put in til I have 10 wis also, but you dun have to. it's just so I could cast a little bit more often.

1 point of the primary dmg stat each level, then all extra points into Men. Being able to solo a mob w/o using potions is nice, so adding Wis is more of a personal preference. I'm curious on whether any stat lowers magic dmg because that would be recommened for an Apprentice.

what is your preference for easy leveling?
parties or solo?
and what does the party consist of?

DarkOmen

I go full int and i solo pretty good not using 2 many potions just rest

Soloing is by far the fastest way to level, and an Apprentice does it best. Any party should consist 2 of each class type at most. As long as you don't have more than two of each type you are fine party wise. A party of 2 is great, a party of three is good for drop hunting in tougher maps, 4+ parties are great for grinding deep into the maps.

If you're talking about magic defense, then it's WIS. At least.. I think. That might be just for Fiesta, actually. But the way I see it is that POW, AGI, and STA is for physical stuff and INT, MEN, and WIS are their magic equivalents. (With a slight exception for AGI and MEN:
AGI - Increases Dodge, attack speed, Melee critical, Skill critical, and Walk Speed. Also I think it increases melee damage for Neophyte.

MEN - Increases Hit rate, critical rate and skill critical rate.)

uhmmm so what is the suggested build? int/men or int/wis?

Ranmayasha

or int and only int:P how to say it stronger magic is by far most useful aspect of magician. Who cares if i have more mana if i can refill it during hiting. Same about men i will maybe get few more criticals, but my hits will be weaker so I think it wont make me any biger difference

I'm going INT/MEN (like a 4:1 ratio)
(and some str for new weapons)

MEN adds also faster casting speed ^^

Thats all well and good but say a monster is atacking you a strong one the time you take to heal mp could be used to kill the monster before it gets you. think about it

I'm sorry, magicians cannot reset stats in OB. They have removed that luxury unlike in CB. So you all should be very careful on what stats you put in your character! Think carefully first.

Well, somebody told me that every time you change class you can reset stats, that may be not true...

:cool:I go for solo because the exp is shared in a party but while tackling tough monsters, I go for a party, so its quite necessary to have a strong parties.

Well, the guild master or whoever gives the clothes and things during a class change allows you to change your stats according to the class' requirements. There's an old man in Arcrinas[never tried in other places] who allows you to reset your stats

lvl 27 - ive got 20+1 int and 10 Wis ;D

i think WIS is important for mages... i don't think they put that stat just for fun ;P it helps me lvl a lot faster without sitting down after killin 2 friggin monster... it increases mana and mana regen(1)

now im going to go full int ... im still wonderin whether to increase MEN.

Yes, I think that doing full Int is the best... mabey it is because I'm weird and like my stats to be even numbers or mabey it's because I like alot of power (reason for choosing magician class) I don't know...

nem, how much MP do u have?
I chose INT/MEN btw, i like to cast faster since i keep dieing with my slow attack rate

12-16-2007, 04:27 PM
well me current lvl is 30

stats
Int 26 + 1
Wis 10
Pow 4 (the rest are the same)

HP 282
MP 209

now im goin full Int

dragon do u have like instant cast? most of the spells so far like mindbuster, thunder( till lvl 30) are like 1 second cast...does it still make a lot of difference increasing DEM??... can u post ur build(ty)

DragonMan949
12-16-2007, 04:37 PM
I'm a Level 32 Apprentice
Stats:
POW- 5+0
INT- 27+1
AGI- 1+0
MEN- 7+0
STA- 3+0
WIS- 4+0

I added MEN at level 29 I think, I slightly cast faster, but I critical much more often, at least once every two monsters, at least one every monster if a fellow neophyte casts accuracy, I think ur build is better for people who cant afford MP pots, for me, it's for people who want to cast and crit better without the slow and brutal strength of full INT.
I hope this helps, and I will make my MEN 10 soon and go full INT until 46, my plan is at lvl 47-50 ill go MEN, until 51-56 ill go WIS, then INT until I reach class 66.

oo men will help a lot in pvp i guess

yeah gettin WIS really helped me get money(214 k) at start... since this is my first character i found it pretty annoying to sit for like 2 mins to regen mana fully and then end up killin 2 monters... i guess the WIS build is good for first time players

but now i use an overall of 250 mana pots by teleportin in and out of town ;p much faster

the build im goin for is pretty similar to your final build only diff is that we got different secondary stats(WIS, MEN) at start

i hope the guys who run the game screw somethin up with the stats and end up resetting everyones stat points... :D

Actually, Wis will be more helpful in PvP then Men. Focus on those squires while someone else is attacking them! Higher Wis will beat another Apprentice, and a Acolyte easily. Status the Neo and keep it at a distance. Best to run from Squires and focus on them while they are pre-occupied. Use freeze and status affects to your advantage! I posted a build around here somewhere, I forgot where xD

I think that pure int is best in pvp, more damage means the enemy will die faster, and in big groups, it can be very difficult to live.
INT with WIS is almost the same, except u have more MP and do a bit less damage, depending on ur lvl and build, its best to have a large group in pvp to back u up, just in case.
INT/MEN is the least recommended build because you dont crit as much in there, plus u have low MP/DAMAGE depending on ur build, thats how u die fast, like me : (

INT/MEN. Simple build I will test. Especially after Starbears do 1 dmg on me sometimes on level 29... O.o

m1n054
12-16-2007, 08:50 PM
That's somehow normal... it seems that some monsters attack twice... and for some reason... the first blow delivers a good dmg and the second blow always do about 1 to 3 dmg...

Well, it's my preference to go int/men. I don't mind using up pots...in fact I still have a ton of money and I keep making more then I ever spend on pots so far, and I use pots like drinking water. The reason for my preference is that mentality increases not only crit rate, but hit rate. I like that because I can freeze an enemy, lightning it and have it be dead before it ever gets close enough to kill me (increased hit rate). Of course to do that I have a really high int. I think I went full int at the low levels then started adding men as soon as I got to lvl 25 (just added a few points every time I noticed monsters getting a hit on me). But in any case it suits my playing style well. I would like to know if wis not only increases sp but also sp regen. Is that true? I don't really feel like testing it on this build so anyone who has let me know, I'd be interested to find out.
To tell the truth though, I don't think I have gained enough levels to really be able to tell if adding to men. has made a difference. But I'm sure in the future they will sell a stat reset in the cash shop (coming this month!) so I won't worry about it that much:p

I strongly agree that MEN is useful. As I play for a while, MEN increase not only hit rate but also critical rate. Besides, sometimes some ppl ask me that why I cast faster to them. I think it's result from MEN. :D
and for lvl40+, MEN is very useful!!!, especially when u lvl 51+.

Moreover, in PVP, Int/Men is better than pure Int b'coz the dmg is reduce so much in Pvp. There is very little different between the dmg. (e.g. thunder lvl1 and 2 do almost the same dmg. ><) And when fight w/ rogue, if u don't have Men, u always do 2-3 dmg.
So oure Int is just a useless nuke, powerful but never hit. ><

u all must remamber in this game we dont know what the Maximum status..
maybe 99? maybe 255? or no have Maximum status?
Apprentice have 2 type
1. Pure int
2. Int / Men (2:1*Very Fast Casting But Low Damage)
(3:1*Medium Casting And Medium Damage)
(4:1*Strong Damage but not stronger Pure INT and Little Fast Casting)
So what u choice the status? ^^

Aurican

I like to put 1 point into Int every level, except every 5th level I will put 1 point into Wis and the rest into Men. Once the bonus points increase I can add another point to Int. That's why the bonus points are there.
