I know 6 of those guys ;~;
Meek- I've only partied with him once. Can't remember how good of a tank he was, he must've been okay, cuz if he were bad I'd remember lol.
Devante- Awesome tank. Only tank I know that can take on so many stonies @.@ Hes also really nice.
Seva- I know him, but I've only seen him outside Uruga once lol.
Lithon- The only tank I know that can keep mobs off of the DDs, except when tanking MD, lol. I'm not too sexy for his taunt D: his taunt is too sexy for me. Plus, hes my bestest friend on Fiesta.
Zadane- A very friendly guy, always willing to help, and cares for other players. Hes a good tank, despite letting me be too sexy for his taunt D: Hes my oldest friend on Fiesta =D
Falcomist- I've only partied with him once, and I think that was when we were doing TK. Again, he must have done good cuz I don't remember him being bad lol.

I'm not saying you are, Seva. My reply and my post-script had almost nothing to do with one another. What I meant in my reply was that these kinds of polls should not even be conducted, for obvious reasons.

My post-script was added because my judgement was clouded by my emotions after reading the cleric thread on Pure End Clerics being the best. Sorry for that.

Some consider a fighter awesome if he can keep others alive, some might consider him awesome if he can kill other tanks when in pvp.

I personally admire a fighter if he can keep me alive when in parties. I'm a majority INT build mage, and I aggro ALOT. So I'm actually picky with my tanks.

How can we compare and decide?

it actualyl depends on the fighter's eq and all and not just sterotyping builds liek pure str = cant tank, pure end = cant do high dmg.

FYI i can take on 5 ancient stonies with a decent cleric, and i've seen 0 str fighters liek sinto doing similar dmg to me :p

Seva, what you've stated is very true, but then those are only special cases which you have brought up. I can also say that a pure END tank with good equipment can tank up to 7 Ancient Stonies at a time with a good cleric. Remember, when comparing a particular attribute/characteristic, all else have to be kept constant, or else it wouldnt be a fair comparison. (Just like how experiments are done in the laboratory. Vary a single component or aspect, and keep the rest the same in order to see how this component affects the system.)

No idea what the record is, but 10 stonies seems unlikely unless he had to use potions/stones. In which case, I'm pretty sure there are plenty of other fighters who could tank 10 at a time too.

i'd vote for all of them if i could. it's difficult to define 'best' and 'elite' in these cases. i've seen falcomist, meek, zadane, lithon, freak, seva, and devante the most and partied with abbadon when we were noobs, and i've heard about makisonn and vanisher being good too, so it's really just who's your best friend and who isn't. :P

FYI guys....this thread is SSSOOOO OLD even Gate is not in the leagues' elite that time...I was thinking of placing Sal on the list that time but i guess hes on vacation and not playing around when i made this thread.... for Drgolyo, you played in a different timezone and very rarely seen..maybe ur always with ur GoR friends... so no hard feelings for anyone whos not in the list. i suggest we make a new one for the CURRENT levels/players.
