its either 2 INT 1 WIS or pure INT, INT will effect your damage while WIS wil increase your MP

you will basically need int/wis what you have more of is up to you.i would suggest your wis be higher since you'll be using your mp a lot.i mean whats the point of strong magic if you run out of mp fast.oh and you'll need strenth from time to time for you to use staffs check the requirements.

I would be int/wis but somewhere along the line you have to have 7 POW so you can hold all of the staffs

I think this will help ^^:
Pure Intelligence:
Pros:Real High Damage and Pwns monsters easy.
Cons:Need many MP Pots because low Wisdom(This can waste your money for buying MP Pots instead of equipments.)

Intelligence/Wisdom-2:1:
Pros:Good MP and Good Damage, Good for soloing.
Cons:Not as high damage as Pure Int.

Intelligence/Mentality(or something)2:1
Pros:Good at defense and useful at parties.
Cons:Low MP probably.

-I hope this helps.

for me int/wis is kinda useless also. When u have lower damage even though u have more MP, u still need to cast spells more often compare with the pure int that off course have high damage. (cast spell = -MP )
the best thing i can suggest is INT and some MEN. at 1st i just go through pure INT but then i realize i need some MEN. it will boost up ur speed skills and most important is it reduces the "miss" when u hit the mobs. But im not sure whether MEN can add mage defense point or not......

no offense for INT/WIS. Just my own opinion.

All builds have their good points and bad...

I personally chose the INT/MEN build in a 5:1 ratio... there is no set order in what to put your stat points, but I will say that I only add stat points to MEN on the levels you get multiple points... this build makes me pretty fast and doesn't sacrifice damage on too large of a scale, I only hit for 30 less than a pure INT mage at the same level... I find this build useful for PVP and also while in-party...

Pure INT is another popular build... pure INT is basically sheer magical power... although slower than an INT/MEN mage, the difference can be made up by sheer power of the spell...

INT/WIS is perhaps the one build I hear the least about... bigger mana pool while still allowing for good powered spells, I think a build like this would actually be quite powerful...

either way you chose, each build is different and has its pros and cons, but only you can decide which one is best for you...

The thing I'm having trouble understanding is the "+X". All of my stats except INT have +0. I have ppl tell me they have INT +3 while I'm at INT +1. How do I up my +X in any stat, not just INT? I hope this makes sense, sorry if I did not word it correctly.

Your +1 is due to the magician's ring.. all u need to do is to get 2 more of it and u will get +3 int..

i don't think wis is necessary, what ever you do you will be using pots anyways so, if you have higher int instead of sharing it with wis, you will have higher damage and you will need less hits to kill a monster unlike with lower int you will have to hit more to kill, and more hits means more mp consumption.

That's basically wrong. Since MP increases at a set rate, independent to whether you have higher wis or lower wis, you will need a very big amount of wis for your MP poll to be so high it will hardly ever run. And since an apprentice gets around 10 MP per point of wis, and one MP potion heals for 20 MP, for just 5 potions (500 kron) you will be making up for 10 points of wis, which going into your int will make you do quite more damage, therefore decreasing even more the amount of MP used. So in the end, wis is pretty much useless, maybe in the most lower lvls you won’t have enough income to buy a lot of pots, but once you hit lvl 30 and more, you will be making a lot of kron on the loot from mobs (easily, 20K of kron in around an hour of training, or maybe even more cash), therefore allowing you to use lots and lots of pots and still getting a big income (right now, I use 200 potions in half an hour and get around 50~60K in skills/equips I sell to the npc, without counting the +1s that I sell later to other players.)

I think this will help ^^:
Pure Intelligence:
Pros:Real High Damage and Pwns monsters easy.
Cons:Need many MP Pots because low Wisdom(This can waste your money for buying MP Pots instead of equipments.)

Once you hit lvl 30 and higher, kron will never be a problem again. Unless you're very unorganized and spend your cash on garbage… always be careful with player shops, they tend to be way too expensive, so always be on the hunt for good deals. Also, since a higher defense is not such a high priority for an apprentice when training (it helps, but if you’re careful enough you should hardly ever get hit), the only equip that’s a must +1 is the weapon, the others you can easily wait for a good deal… also, always be on the hunt for higher equips you may need later on… and of course, if you can party in places that drop equips of your lvl or higher, immediately ask for them or to buy them if you don’t get them.

Intelligence/Wisdom-2:1:
Pros:Good MP and Good Damage, Good for soloing.
Cons:Not as high damage as Pure Int.

Later on, that higher MP won't save you from still using pots, and since your damage will suck compared to that of higher int apprentices, training will become harder and you will use many more mp pots.

Intelligence/Mentality(or something)2:1
Pros:Good at defense and useful at parties.
Cons:Low MP probably.

Absolutely wrong, men won't give you def, it’s used mainly to decrease the delay between skills (therefore allowing you to cast faster). That’s not a statistic that can be seen, but it has been tested and it works. Higher men will also give you more hit rate (less misses) and criticals. At around 10 men you will notice a nice difference compared to someone with no men at all, at 16 it will become very good, and even higher, even better… still int should still be the main stat, so 3 int : 1 men at most.
