Hi Everyone,

A lot of users have been asking me questions about the Beauty Shop coming soon. I'll try to answer as many questions as possible. Don't forget, the Beauty Shop Coupon will be on sale for a discounted price starting Dec. 18, this discount will only last for 7 days before returning to it's regular price, so get yours quick!

Can you preview the changes before applying?
Yes

Does the coupon cost money?
Yes, you must purchase SparkCash in order to use the Beauty Shop. You can find the Beauty Shop Coupon in the Fiesta Shop.

Do you need a seperate coupon to change each aspect of your character?
No. One coupon will allow you to change your Hair, Face, and Hair Color at the same time.

Can you change your style again after applying changes?
Once you apply the changes to your character, the changes are final. You must purchase another coupon if you wish to change your style again.

Do the changes last forever?
After applying the changes, the changes will be permanent until you use the Beauty Shop again.

Do you need more than one coupon for all of your characters?
Only one coupon per character can be used.

Does your coupon expire if you don't use it?
No, it will remain in your storage/backpack until used.

Can you trade your Beauty Shop Coupon?
At this time, you cannot trade your Beauty Shop Coupon.

Where is the Beauty Shop?
After buying the Beauty Shop Coupon, you can find the Beauty Shop NPC in Roumen near the Storage NPC.

well, first, i am so happy there is finally gonna be a customization option, however, my concern is this...

...will new characters be available to start with the new customizations, or are they gonna have to buy a "coupon" as well?

i would find it illogical to allow them to start with the customizations, as it would be unfair, and alot of players would most likely start new characters just to get the styles with out having to pay...i know us higher lvl characters would be rather disturbed if this was the case.

ok with the induction of these new styles and colors ect...will there be more options for faces and such when creating a character? becuase in the creation screen there is an option to change your face but it cant be done or is that the same layout the beauty shop will take and that is why it is in there?

I have two questions for beauty shop, well specifically about the Vouchers.

Do the Vouchers have an expiry date or time limit? As in, will they disappear eventually if unused?

Will the vouchers be tradeable? Would make a nice present for friends, or is this against the ToS in Outspark's views?

I'm with everyone else on this; If we, who have been playin for months now, have to pay for new styles when it wasn't our fault they came out late, then those who make characters after the patch should not be entitled to these custom options for free.

Although, personally I'd make the custom styles free for a week, to give active players a chance and reward them for being active even with limited customization, then make them full price afterwards. Kind of like how Runescape did when they released new style changes. It'd just be fair, you know?

I personally think it sucks that we have to pay for new hair styles and colors. I was so excited about finally getting to have a new look until I found out we would have to pay for them. One of the reasons I even moved to this game was because I was tired of paying money everymonth on everquest. Guess I will just have to stick with my same old boring hair. I'm so disappointed. :(

Well for some people the money isn't the problem, the problem is that even if they have that money their parents won't allow them to pay something over internet or they just don't wanna risk that (many bad stories what happens if you give out personal data anywhere on the internet).

But yeah, for people that used to pay for MMORPGs anyways it should be no problem to support their new MMORPG...

Well it may be cool if it just where dollards but they are other ppl who live out of USA that play it, like me, getting US$5-$15 dollards it's not lil money, for every US$1 i have to get RD$33.35 pesos (i'm form Dominican Republic, Santo Domingo), so for US$15 i got to get RD$500.25 and w/that i pay my cellphone bill... so i know its something new and since the game it's free, they have to finds way to maintain that game or w/e, as a comercial i woudn't let the hair change color for free just for a day i t would be a lost of a lot of money maybe after the opening like 3 weeks later would be ok, to idk compensate those that didn't get it and bla bla... Since the game it's envolving it's not convienent to allowa new players to have it for free from the start either, for the reason someone in the 2nd page alredy said.
As for me i totally want to change my hair color and face expresion, but since i must pay for it, i won't, thoses guys that can do it Good For u guys!!!, those like me, well yeah life sucks..>_>

1. Outspark will NOT make the beauty shop available without cash for sure. They already stated that they can't change the system how the beauty shop was coded and on the korean/japanese servers it proved to be good this way.

2. You can only get the special styles with the beauty shop most likely. If you start a new character you'll only have the options you always had.

1. I doubt newly created characters can have new hair styles. Only way to get them is to buy a coupon.

3. There are people who put alot of effort and money into making a game. It kinda makes me sad that people think it's something really bad to pay for a game. :-/

First. Spark Cash is the ONLY revenue Outspark is getting from us players for their game. Those playing free still have the option to keep it free. I mean, you get a fully free game. Things like this are few and rare. That the devs use a shop to enhance the game experience using real money can be considered a bonus.

Now, here's my two cents on this. Why not at least make hair color changes free for a week for everyone in game to switch, and make new characters benefit from more hair colors too? You know. Blue, blue and purple as only colors? ... -_-'

All in all, I'm having a great time in this game, and I have purchased my bit of Spark Cash to support the greatness. Kudos to the devs.

...i agree with ryok though...this game has given me sum great time, and i already buy a few things from the cash shop, i have no problem dishing out alittle more dough for sum customization...also, for those of u saying that u dont pay money, or cant, then u cant really be mad, because u got into this game knowing it was a free mmorpg, and im assuming were happy with it, until u realized that they were releasing a beauty shop for cash, so, dont worry, just because u cant get sum new hair color, isnt gonna affect game play, or how good u are, and with so many ppl customizing (believe me, it will b alot), the original hair styles and colors are proably going to be almost as unique as the new ones...its a win win situation.

this is funny people... this game is FREE unless you WANT to pay for it... OutSpark has a full staff and servers they must pay for, the cashshop is the way to keep it running. I hope they keep the custum faces, hair, color ect a cashshop item for the fact there will be less people looking like me X).

I am a dissapointed in alot of you. How can u be so upset at a free game. When u first started playing, u knew there was only 3 hair options, and had NO CLUE when they(if they even did) realise more.

So what if u cant afford a Beauty shop coupon, your still allowed to play fiesta for free. When fiesta wants to charge u $14.99 a month to just play, then complain, but when they are still offering free gameplay, and a good free game at that, please just accept the fact that u will be the same character u started with.

Be happy that sum ppl (such as myself) are going to pay the real money to get a change, as it will mean less characters looking like you, and we are also providing Outspark with the funds to fix that bugged quest u want to turn in so bad, or to provide more events with double exp. and drops.

Personally, i say thank you to Outspark for their great game, and thank you to all the players who will be using the cash shop to improve the game play for everyone.

actually, if u would have taken the time to look further into this, u would be aware that there are other ways to pay, including echecking, account prepaid funds, and a cash by mail option...the prices are really effective for the items, so if u dont have a credit card (or are to young for one) do a few chores, get $10, and mail it in....

I'm happy about the changes, but disappointed too. Unlike some that just don't want to pay real money, I have no problem paying real money. It's not too expensive for me. I however only do things in cash, which means I'd have to do the snail mail payment meathod which means it might take oh... 6 weeks before I can change my hair, and by that time the price would have gone up *Sniffles* For this reason I'd love if there was an option to buy it in game.


Anyways, it was mentioned that the trade feature for the coupon is not available at this time. Is there a plan for it to be available in the future?? And is there a plan for new hair styles in addition to these ones to be available to all players for free in the future as well?

I have no problem with having to buy a coupon to change your looks. Nor do I have a problem with, if, they make it so new characters can pick them. Those who have high level characters don't want to remake them but want the new looks and this is a way to get them. There are still going to be those in the future who get the new looks who will change them again when they get bored with how they look.

I was able to charge my boyfriend, and a good friend, with some sparkcash. Just be prepared to lose your account if you don't know the person good.

1) would you be able to make yourself into select furries with this? if not now then eventually? just a thought...

2) would the change include the option of showing your helmet? i noticed that that... and the earings and necklace, don't show, so would that be an option to change as well?

I think outspark should have events that will allow you win the coupons and I don't mean the one that they are already doing with who can hit level 79 first cause that is not right cause for those of us who haven't capped yet we don't stand a chance cause there is no way people under level 59 are going to be able to hit level 79 before the people who are already capped. Also I will say that not all people new that the hair and face stuff was coming but, there are people like me who knew that there was more stuff like that was left out of the
American version cause I have seen it happen too many times before with free mmorpgs where they start out over seas and then come over here and then we get everything last and we have to pay for it. Also for those of you who are so bent on having to pay cash for the good stuff most people came into this game thinking that it was completely free. I knew it wasn't going to be completely from playing other free mmos but, any ways I think something so trivial as hair style or color or face changes shouldn't have to be payed for and that they all should of been included in the game before hand so really since they where not in the game at the start of open beta they shouldn't have them at all cause it is making everyone keep going on about it. I am a little ticked at outspark for charging for such a thing but, its their game so they can do whatever they want. Besides all that there will most likely be events for the coupons later that they will do so I'm just going to forget about it for now cause I am mainly waiting for upped exp form monsters and quests. I still think its dumb though for them not to even allow you to make a new character and be able to use all the new hair stuff or the face stuff cause most people want to change their already made character so outspark wouldn't lose money for letting new characters be able to use the new stuff.

100% Agreed. It's kind of silly to create a new character and have options such as "Face" and not be able to change it at all. As a player who has been around for awhile, I absolutely think new players should be able to have full reign of ALL the new customization options!

Since the game is still in beta, it doesn't make sense to charge people for something that other MMOG's have as a standard. But I can understand them seeing this as a revenue-generating opportunity as well.

Charge for the Santa Suits. Charge for the Dog Sled. Even charge for other "limited" hairstyles such as an "Elvis" look or whatever if needs be, but for normal customization options... those should be free to all.

All-in-All... Not expensive for those sweet looks, and honestly, you might be paying for someone to:

2) Write new code that's being used for your character.

You can check in-game by going into the beatuy shop (via the NPC by Pey in Roumen) and trying out styles. However, you cannot apply them without a beauty shop coupon. Also, whenever you exit the beauty shop, it takes you back out to the character selection screen--a bug, I think.

As far as I know, only that update thread by steam shows styles on this site...

I don't think the Beauty Shop is inconsiderate. It's simply people who have put countless hours into a product expecting a return.

Fiesta is unique in that you have to pay to customize basic features.

The charm of RPG is being able to customize and develop your character. Not being able to pay took a great part of the game from you. If you cannot pay and see the look as important, you will not enjoy the game. In that case I suggest leaving for another game. This game is made for the owners to earn money, not for you to have fun.

However, faces and hair won't make you weak. Crit outfit, stats buff scrolls make payers much stronger than you. I'm thankful they didn't release 300% XP scroll or 300% stats scroll. If you can care less about appearance you can still play this game.

I think that this type of nickel and dime mentality could have been applied to just about any other in-game system to generate income for Outspark. But doing it for character customization crosses a line and basically spits in the face of this specific genre of online gaming, and it's customers. The argument that they must charge for things because they need money and must charge sparkcash for this and dozens of other items is moot. What would come next? Maybe the next step would be charging for having more than 1 character. Charging for every mob you kill. Charging for you to be able to level up.

It isn't about the money. It is about coming off as greedy.

currently, I am enjoying fiesta. Before I got into the game, I didn't know if I would buy anything online. If I were inclined to do so, I could buy any amount of sparkcash I wanted. But if I was unsure about doing it then, I certainly won't be doing it now. This just turns me off to the whole thing.

you havent taken it out of your cashshop items inventory and bound it to the character yet. find it in your inventory and right click on it to transfer it to the normal section of your inventory. then you can use it.

You have to make sure you have the hair change bottle out of your premium bag and into your character's inventory before you can use it at the hair npc. Then all you will have to do is go back in it, pick out the style you want, and hit accept and there you have it. :3

I have a good question. Currently I noticed that you can only select the 10 face, hair styles and colors. But do more of each get unlocked as you raise in level or rank?

For example: I'm currently level 16 Archer and only see those 10 hair styles, 10 colors, and 10 faces able to be chosen.

Will more be unlocked for me to pick from when I reach a certain level set? Or, when I reach Hawk Archer, or the rank after Hawk Archer?

you are supposed to see the coupon in you're inventory.
Then go to Vietree (the beauty shop girl,in roumen),

It has been suggested before. A big downside to it would be the bloat it would cause in the game. The game is already over 2GB. If skin tones were added, it would require more coding and rendering and testing and the like. While I realize that 2GB isn't much for modern games, I still like good things in small packages.

But to answer your question, Yes, the only way to make changes to your face and hair is to get a coupon. There used to be another way to get the coupon when they first released it (By way of 50 mousse chocolates :D) but not anymore. Yes, you do have to use REAL money to buy SC (unless you do the free offers)

There are 3 different Beauty Shop coupons: Basic, Premium, and Deluxe. Each one changes your look, however, some will give you access to certain looks and features that others don't.

The Basic Coupon only gives you access to the Basic faces/hairstyles and hair colours. If you want something from the Premium selection of faces, hairstyle/color, then you would have to buy a Premium Coupon. The Premium Coupon gives you access to the Premium styles and the Basic Styles.

The same goes for the Deluxe Coupon as well. This coupon gives you access to even more styles and access to the ones that the Basic and Premium give as well.
