Since we're talking about weapon levels I had a question regarding enhancing...

I recently saw a Heaven Hammer +4 that had a bonus 1% to crit & additional dmg (don't recall exactly how much). I have the same Hammer but at +5 and don't have the crit bonus % , just one level worth more of damage I believe.

Do level increases give random bonuses? How else could this hammer have %crit bonus when mine didn't, unless maybe it was enhanced higher and then dropped back down and kept its crit bonus? Any input on this?

Thanks in advance!

You get cit bonus's from your weapon titles. The higher the title, the better the bonus. I took this off of another forum, forgot which one, but just know I'm not taking credit for it. =)

-Weapon Licenses Titles-

Put the license on your weapon, and these are the possible titles.

Killer. (15% damage.) CONFIRMED.
Executioner. (20% damage.) CONFIRMED.
Eliminator. (25% damage.) CONFIRMED.
Assassin. (30% damage.) CONFIRMED.
Dominator. (35% damage.) CONFIRMED.
Destroyer. (40% damage, 1% critical.) CONFIRMED.
Slayer. (50% damage, 2% critical.) CONFIRMED.
Terminator. (60% damage, 3% critical.) CONFIRMED.
Annihilator. (70% damage, 4% critical.) CONFIRMED.
Conquerer. (80% damage, 5% critical.) CONFIRMED.

Hmm... maybe I didn't explain it good enough...

Neither of the weapons had licenses on them, they were both unlicensed. But just like next to "Damage" there's a yellow "(+#)", next to "Crit %" (or whatever it says there) you can have weapons that have a yellow "(+#%)" there.
Wish I had a screenshot, but don't have one right now.

I usually see these bonus crit %'s on higher level weapons like +8 or +9, but since I saw it on that +4 hammer I had to ask the question...

Does anyone know why my level 5 wouldn't have it but someone else's level 4 would? My only conclusions are either that:

a) it's completely random whether you get bonus damage, bonus crit %, or bonus damage AND crit % when successfully enhancing

OR

b) Someone levelled the hammer up past level 5, received the crit% bonus, then failed enough enhances to decrease the hammer back to +4 but it retained the crit % bonus (and just lost the +dmg bonuses).

Can anyone confirm or explain this?

P.s. Does the crit% from titles affect only the mobs that the license is for? Example: Mara Pirate License weapon @ Conqueror level would = 80%dmg and 5% extra chance of critical on a Mara Pirate, or does the crit% become permanent attribute to the weapon?

I have never seen a weapon with +crit% without a license on them. The critical % does show up as yellow numbers by the crit%, and it is against all mobs, not just the one it's leveled up on.

Wow, I didn't realize that! Yeah, maybe I just forgot and it DID have licenses. I admit, it is possible that I was wrong. :)

That's really awesome if that's the case! If you had 3 maxed licenses would that be a total of +15% crit rate?

Unfortunately, that's not the case, the licenses only give a bonus crit rate for whatever monster that license is for(Harkan lic only gives crit against harkans)

However, about the +whatever percent crit rate on the unlicensed weapon you were asking about, lucky elrues/lixes/xirs not only have the chance to increase + by two, they can also increase a weapon's aim and crit rate, so there's your answer

I disagree with the above post. I have done some testing and it is my belief( aswell as many others) that the crit % bonus effects ALL monsters. Not just the one it is licensed to. It is added to the weapon itself. Could a GM or someone that knows for certain clarify this?

But the crit% from licenses do NOT stack. If you do a license with a +2% crit and another with +3 % crit. Then the higher +% overrides the first. So, instead of a +5% it would be a +3%.

I know for a 100% fact that lucky elres/lix/xirs do NOT increase a weapon's aim or crit rate. I have asked Dakkon himself and it only has a chance to add +2 to the weapon. There is no way currently to add crit other then The licences.

What licences can do that. every licence i've ever used completed at 35% and never upped crit. my hammer now has king mushroom licence but it isn't increasing no matter how many i kill. i'm level 40 with green 40 Hammer.

That weapon might be a kq weapon and would explain crit

Here you go. This is a partial list of licenses. More will be added as they are finished:

*edit*

Licenses stop leveling once the mobs turn grey.

i've personally never seen a +#% crit wep before. Dont even think it exists. Licence does not count and i dont think the one who started this debate saw the +#% crit on bottom part of the wepond where licences are but on the part wit either where the attack is displayed or the part where the crit % is displayed

90% sure it affects the every monster.

Wait, you guys completely hijacked this thread...

The highest level weapons are, as far as I know, Lv90 in the Korean version.

They are all named "Titanic ..." except the fighter 1h, which is Balkan Sword.
The Lv90 weapons are tier 4.

Well, yes, we did hijack this thread, but that's alright - the very first original question may have been asking how high level the weapon gets in terms of +'s... in which case noone answered that yet either... that is +9 by the way...

Yes I did see the +crit%'s in the above stats, not down bottom near the licenses, but after taking a quick stroll through the Elderine marketplace I've noticed that all the items with +crit%s ALL had licenses on them. So, that may have answered my question (although I could still swear that the hammer didn't have licenses).

Either way, I got alot of new information so I am happy! Didn't know that licenses stop getting higher when mob becomes gray, that would explain why I couldn't get mine any higher! Looks like its time to start farming specific mobs again!

Would be nice to find out how those crit%s work for SURE though!

Weapons dropped by certain monsters in areas will drop special versions of regular weapons that have upgraded stats, including crit. rate.

Are you referring to boss drops? I am aware that there is a KM (King Marlone) Heaven Hammer (as an example) that has bonus stats over the normal Heaven Hammer, but thought it was just +'s to stats (STR,END, etc.). Didn't realize those had chance for +crit%'s too. Or are you saying that if one of these normal mobs drops a weapon it will be "special"?

Yes some green and blue weapons do drop with some added stats and crit bonuses. These particular weapons are set as rare instead of common. I've noticed they drop more if you fight in an abyss 10 lvls higher then your lvl. Example if you are lvl 40 then fight in lvl 50 abyss. Enough said now quit complaining!!!
