Karlstad's ring quest

Does anybody know where to go for this quest? And by the way it sounded when i got the quest i'm gonna need help, so does anyone want to help me as well? :D

i already have the ring, i'm just confused about the quest itself. I don't know where to go, the quest description is extremely vague, it just says something along the lines of "kill this one dude, you're gonna need help too."

i don't know where to go though, and there's a LOT of areas in the game, so, i don't want to explore through them just to find out i've been going in the complete opposite direction the entire time. I'd probably die a lot of times too, just searching for the place.

so any additional information at all would be helpful :D
