Is Archer worth it

I'm not an archer yet, but I'm pretty sure it is worth it. I mean, I've been in PvP events, everybody complains about getting killed by archers. XD So I assume they're really good. ^^

Yes. Archers are powerful in their own right and it is worth giving up the skills to be able to send arrows flying at helpless little targets. >.> ...Don't forget to actually buy the arrows though...-.-

Think about archers like this...now they are really good cause there are only 1st classes on the server. But once Rogues and Knights pop up, it will be different.

arrows don't weigh that much and you wind up carrying plenty.

Like mentioned above, Archers appear very good due to the fact that they are second class chars. When Knight, Rogue, Mage and Cleric show up (lvl 66+) we will see how good archers are for real.

But then again, at level 80 the will probably get the upper hand again since the other 3rd classes arent implemented yet (only scout and templar seems to be available) ^.^

They're worth it. Seeing it takes 13+ people to even kill me. That's pvp of course. Then outside of pvp, grinding, they're still worth it. You never have to sit and you rarely need to use hp pots.

Archers are deffinatly worth the taking out stealth because you excange for speed and crit. you take out your oppenents so fast the dont know what hit em. plus you shoot from afar so most rouges, and warriors need to run up to you.

Hey im downloading the game atm and i want to know if the archers are fast levelers?
Because i saw that magicians are but they need to buy pots and archers seem better (to me) and i want to ask if they are fast at leveling? And what stats do i need to lvl up as an archer?

Are they cost effective? Because if they only do 120 per arrow, that seem to be a waste of your money...

Its about 2000Kron for 1000 arrows. I Just got Archer, and bought 10,000. They don't weigh as much.

Like, if you went to the armory and blah blah, what would the cost be for the arrows? You don't have to buy them separately, right? (Cause my Neo is flat broke...dang pendants. :P)

I would have to say scout/archer is well worth it. I love how the bow works, the legnth of the shots, and the skills you can use. It also makes what i love to do, which is soloing, easier. =]

I hardly ever use HP pots, and generally just stock up on 200mp pots + herbs. With that (which is roughly.. 25-30k in items) i get 50% expierence. >.<

for those that worrie about arrows costing too much, they should think that there are other classes, like the aco and mage classes, that have to use mp to even try to fight, so they have to buy MP pots to fight. the archers must buy arrows. it's not that bad. as an aco i lvl up nicely, and still make large profits enough to buy pots and have 20k extra after each time i fill up my WT, and return to the gen store to sell.

If you don't like sitting and like long ranged, archers are definately worth it. And when you sit, you regain hp and mp like mad.

I'd say if you ABSOLUTELY LOVE invisible then you might consider, or if you're going for being the first rogue or aren't willing to get rid of your rogue skills. Invisible is the only thing I wish I still had.

Also, the arrow thing isn't a problem, the most arrows weigh is .03, so you can hold tens of thousands at once.

Even if rogues and Knights come in still back up is better then front line assaults if you understand Tactical procedures then you will know which one is better then the others. even though Archers haver there weakness but it doesn't mean that there weak and can be slow down by arrows.

Ahem..As you can see In tokyo where i used to live I practiced Archery I know how Archery is related into a game. its how well you think over the matters.
Rogues of what I read and saw in combat at my house..well it was a movie how rogues are related to assassins. so its the same. The rogues must differ to Achers. there skills lies in shadow and sneak attacks plus good escape speed.

Knights are very pride and honorable in there own way but if they fight in the front then who will support there backs? in time Archers have there own purposes and there own ways of showing there skills and I would say i stay for who i represent at home ^^ it wouldn't be so fun choosing swords over bows would it?

Well just from general knowledge of using other similiar type games economy/pvp wise as this one, Archers are definately the best, they hunt like no other and bring in immense cash, plus as previously said, the range can take out an opponent before they even get to you , or you can hit a few times and portal away without taking damage.

in 1V1 against mobs scouts can hold their own, using ankle bindind and keeping the distance, but get into problems when they collect some aggro(later on all mobs will be aggro). i've lost track of how many times i've saved a scout that was aggrod by a few and couldent handle it. while i have often taken on up to 4 mobs at a time(blind sight, dodging, and HP), i think a scout would have problems when aggrod by 4+ mobs.

You also have to take in concideration one arrow equals one attack and takes one arrow from your stock, but if you use magic you have to use mp pots. So you have to choose which you want to usd your money on.... tons of arrows..... OR tons of pots. Also swords dont reload but eventually youll tire and have to sit. This game has its balances and each classes have advantages and disedvantages.....

scouts wont have trouble with mobs at their second job change since there second job change "Archer" have area of effect skills
