While digging through an old laptop (my first actually) I came across some old 1-2 page short stories I wrote that involved Fiesta. Few years later, I thought I might post them. They're more or less based off of actual singular events that took place. More or less little drabbles.

Heads Up, Choo-Choo

Takimi stood, looking around carefully. Collapsed prison wasn’t exactly her choice place of hanging around, but the experience was good, and she had a lot of work to do. Hefting her crossbow, she glanced at the progress on the licenses and swore. The crossbow was phenomenal, the licenses, not so much. The person who put the licenses on hadn’t even bothered doing anything with them. At all.

Rolling her eyes, she trudged forwards on light toes, tucking her long hair back behind her ear, aqua strands falling forwards a little. Takimi ignored this and aimed her crossbow at a harkan, taking aim while readying her Venomous Shot. She fired, while blasting with her poisonous arrow at the same time. She fired off a few more shots of special poison attacks and power shots, before the harkan fell over dead. She tip-toed lightly around the monster, gingerly reaching a hand down to pull out the potion that had dropped from the harkan’s carcass. At least it was a T3, otherwise she might have been a bit annoyed.

Takimi took aim again, firing again at a harkan. It went on, the same monotonous routine. Leveling licenses was boring. And tedious. She decided to tune into the audible talk over the field while she killed; perhaps someone she knew was here.

“RES PLEASE!” She frowned. What an idiot.

“Coordinates would be nice.” Well, at least someone was interested.

“RES PLEASE!” Takimi narrowed her eyes. He obviously didn’t get the idea that to be revived, you had to know where he actually was.

“Coordinates, otherwise I can’t help you.” Silly cleric. They shouldn’t even bother trying to help.

“RES PLEASE!” Takimi finished off the harkan she had been killing then paused in her ministrations with an interjection of her own.

“Dear Mr. I-would-like-to-be-resed, it is unfortunate that you have died. However, anyone interested in reviving your rude self is in need of coordinates. Please provide them, or just warp and run back.” She picked up her crossbow again, aiming for a harkan. She was about to fire when she heard loud stomping.

Turning her head, Takimi almost didn’t make it out of the way before a mage in his 2x levels came running by, with around 4 harkans, 3 ogres and a bat trailing behind him. Taki tuned into the audio again, this time, informing those near the Elderine gate.

“Heads up, train heading to Elderine gate. Choo-Choo.” She picked off two harkans, and went back to her boring day of grinding.

This story was more or less based on my own grinding methods when my first character and archer was 4x. This was before blues, instances and op'd quests existed and 4x was really a drag (I think it still is).

Haha, nice :)

Yeah, I think 4x was worst for archers, as back then clerics were actually sort after, though still abused, lol.

Hide & Hunt

Takimi glanced around, then took a small step forwards. She had to be very quiet, otherwise she’d be caught. Her shiny aqua hair tied up into a high ponytail, Takimi raised her head slightly above the bush. Good. No one was in sight. She moved her crossbow to her back, leaving it in the harness that she carried. Scrambling up the tree, Takimi maneuvered through the branches, using them as a highway to cross the field without actually going through it.

“Oh Taki-puppy… where are you…” She smiled, but then shrank back into her tree, hiding more closely. Her outfit was thankfully… all green. The maple she resided in at the moment was very leafy and green. He’d have a hard time distinguishing her specially made armor from the tree itself.

“I know you’re here somewhere.” Takimi pulled her crossbow up at the ready, carefully setting a venomous bolt into the shaft. Grinning, she aimed it squarely at the man’s back. With a brilliant smile, Takimi released the trigger, watching as the bolt sped towards the man.

It pierced his back, and stayed there. Poisonous vapors erupted from the bolt, enveloping his airways. Coughing, he yanked the bolt from his back, eyeing the cleverly laced metal with an expert’s eye. He turned in the direction of the maple, but Takimi had already moved.

Boots thumping lightly, she hit the next branch of the tree in the middle of a run. It was fun, this chase. He would never catch her. And if he did, well, then she was caught. And he got to say where they went for the day. If not, she detailed what they did.

“Nice try Taki-puppy. I know you know that won’t do a thing to me. And, I know you happen to be right… there!” He slammed his sword hard into the ground, sending a rather powerful Devastate at a tree she had occupied about 2 seconds ago. Giggling, Takimi slid out of the branches and into another tree, retracing her route.

She made her way around the edge of the clearing, until she was facing his back. Smirking, she undressed until she was only in her yellow mini dress. It matched the wheat field he stood in, and only her hair could give her away. Laying completely down, she army-crawled through the underbrush, until she was two feet away from his back. She slowly stood up, and raised her crossbow up again, until the edge of the bolt was right up against the back of his neck, a hair’s breadth away from touching him.

He must have had a sixth sense, because he spun around and froze, the bolt ready to kiss his throat with sweet smelling vapors emitting from the tip. She grinned, and tilted her head to the side.

“I win.”

This was written based upon when me and my 'boyfriend' at the time (give me a break I was 16) played Hide and Seek a lot. The outfit mentioned is the 3x Archer outfit, notably known for its leaf-like skirt and vivid green armor. I had written another page or two, but that was a bit more personal and not really something I wanted to share on forums.
