As far as profit goes, along the same lines as plushies, you may have to work out some kind of licensing thing with OS/OOS.

That part in red is what I am worried about. It would be something like 30% of the profit + 10 bowls of curry for Kobal per week and a new stuffed toy for Wishbone.

Nope Dattebayo has no actual meaning in the japanese language. It was just used as a tag at the end of Naruto's sentences. Kinda like how you would use -nya or -ebi. Translators have either disregarded the word during translation or given it 'ya know' or 'believe it' translation.

Nope Dattebayo has no actual meaning in the japanese language. It was just used as a tag at the end of Naruto's sentences. Kinda like how you would use -nya or -ebi. Translators have either disregarded the word during translation or given it 'ya know' or 'believe it' translation.
Japanese speech takes a lot more sillables, and sometimes even takes more time to use than English. This is part of the reason of how translation of anime gets so messed up. English translators have to translate it, and still fill in the time the mouth of the character is moving for speech, with exceptions being when the character speaking isn't on screen. And then when the Japanese script-writer decides to add the sentence end-caps that have no real meaning, the English translators, again, have to account for that time. When it's something simple like "-nya" they usually don't event bother translating it.
eg. "Watashi wa Myou-Ryoshi-nya!" (I know that this has it's own, but I do happen to hear it pop up every now and then when i visit Japan).
end-eg. "My name is Ryoushi Myou-nya!"

However, the larger ones, like dattebayo, need more work. They need to fill it with words. In Naruto's case, they chose "believe it" because it was more in line with Naruto's personality. It happens to work with the sillables too, because usually naruto slurs the phrase into 'tebayo. When Naruto doesn't slur it, it's in full Dattebayo, he's usually shouting when he does this, so the English Translators just make him draw out "Believe it!" into "Beelieeve it!" To account for the extra time taken.
