hawk archer job change problem

im level 20 but cannot get the change job quest from deikid. what shuold i do? help pls.

He doesn't have the quest you are looking for. Instead the quest starts at Shutain and asks you a question and you choose promotion and then you will eventually get another quest from him and finally head off to Forest of the Mist to defeat your shadow. :] It's pretty straightforward now.

Well it's not as straightfoward as you might think.
Firstly you have to talk to Shutian twice. There is no indication of this and a lot of newbs miss this and end up shouting for help. Also why talk to Shutian in the first place anyway? It would be a lot simpler if all you did was talk to Sean, missing Shutian out altogether.

Actually as of a few weeks ago at least, Sean has the second "talking" quest that Shutian used to have. So it's a bit more confusing than it used to be, since that's the quest that tells you to go to Sean. :D
