How do I use Lix?

How do I level up my bow? I have lix... I have a lvl 15 bow. But it says "The item's level is too low" ...Why? I thought LIX made level 1 items become level 4-6?

A lix doens't mean enchant a bow to lvl 4-6 but to upgrade a bow when it is lvl 4-6

So you first need to upgrade it with three elrue

Don't feel bad, I thought the exact same thing before. The description is a little misleading, but yeah, it allows you to upgrade from +3 to +4-6, then you need a Xir to go from 7-9 I believe, but read the guide, it's pretty helpful!
