'Tis the season for giving and we love giving back to those in need. During the 12 Days of Holidays, we’ll be running some charity events and want your help picking which charity to use. We've chosen 4 charities that we feel give back in great measure to people, and want you to cast your vote above to ultimately decide which one we should use.
Here are the 4 charities and a little bit about what efforts they do as well as links to their websites to learn more:
Red Cross (http://www.redcross.org/) – As part of a worldwide movement that offers neutral humanitarian care to the victims of war, the American Red Cross distinguishes itself by also aiding victims of devastating natural disasters. Over the years, the organization has expanded its services, always with the aim of preventing and relieving suffering.
Doctors without Borders (http://www.doctorswithoutborders.org/) – Doctors without Borders provides independent, impartial assistance in more than 60 countries to people whose survival is threatened by violence, neglect, or catastrophe, primarily due to armed conflict, epidemics, malnutrition, exclusion from health care, or natural disasters.
UNICEF (http://www.unicef.org/) – UNICEF was created with this purpose in mind – to work with others to overcome the obstacles that poverty, violence, disease and discrimination place in a child’s path. We believe that we can, together, advance the cause of humanity.
Child's Play (http://www.childsplaycharity.org/) – Child's Play is a game industry charity dedicated to improving the lives of children with toys and games in our network of over 70 hospitals worldwide.
Hurry up and vote early, polling close on December 21st!
