View Full Version : Damage/Defense bug found!

So I noticed this on my main character (Allnighte) when I bought a 10pt Stat Reset pack from the cash shop. I put all my END into STR and noticed my damage didn't increase at all.

So my alt leveled up, and I thought I'd take screen shots of myself giving me 1 more point in END:

notice my HP goes up, the window of "free status" shows the increase in DEF, yet in the bottom of the character window the DEF doesn't change at all.

Shouldn't it show my DEF go up one point, from 92 to 93?

I think this explains the loss in damage and defense we are seeing. HP/SP is staying the same, evasion and aim is too hard to tell if it has been affected, but DMG and DEF from stat points seems to have lost its effect.

Try it for yourselves. Give yourself a point and see if it changes everything that it should.

The character window doesn't show stats you get with status points. That's why the Free Status Window is there, so you see what bonuses you get.

are you sure? I'm pretty sure the character window shows final statistics. the free status window just shows you in more detail what the stats do. I don't remember giving myself stat points and not seeing the changes in the character window go up before the patch.

Even before the patch I already read on forums that the character window doesn't show free stat point bonus, but I never checked myself. But I remember there was such a complain some weeks ago already.

well stat points losing their effectiveness would sure explain the loss in damage/defense.

what else would cause it? besides the obvious nerf suggestion.

I know for sure FREE INT magic damage has never been showed in character window. The bug is caused by something else.

What I am not sure is if my character's real ability to fight has changed. Surely my character window has, but I've been soloing and didn't notice any nerf with my mage. But I don't remember exactly how hard was I hited or I hited before the patch so I am not 100% sure. Perhaps mobs have been affected too so that's why I didn't notice any change when soloing ???? :confused:

Characters have certainly been affected. I am taking WAY more damage after the patch now - Biski even said they were looking into the problem. So obviously something happened.

However, the free stats never did show up AFAIK but I honestly never checked.
