Trouble loading new patches

hey, so far i have had no problems with the game launcher until now. Every time i open my fiesta launcher to log in, it says checking for updates, and then never does anything. it's not my firewall, because i've tried opening it with it on, and off. when i do have the firewall one it says connection refused twice. That's how i know that i'm missing two patches i think. so i don't know what to do. Letting the firewall block it allows me to log in, but then my game play lags, and when fighting monsters it doesn't show their health points going down.

so i don't know what to do. can any staff or any long time game players help me with my problem?

p.s. it's also not my computer that makes the game lag. my computer over exceeds the recommended and minimum requirements, so in other words my computer can handle the game well.

oh, and i forgot to mention, i have tried re-downloading the launcher. it did not change my problem.

The latest patch ( Dec. 18th) can take up to 15 minutes to apply and let you login. Have Patience.

If it still won't work then download and install it manually.

If you have done this. I must warn you that the patch was very buggy. Almost everyone is having lag, missing animations, lowered def/dmg. Some skills not working, broken quest, etc. Most of these problems are known and are being worked on.
