Hi all,
Just wanted to see what you all thought about our first community event.
I ([GM]Dakkon), [GM]SnakeEyes, and [Outspark]Chopst, would like to thank all of you for participating. While not everyone was able to receive prizes or enjoy some of the events due to lag, we hope you still had a good time.
We will use this experience and hope to improve on our future events. Please let us know your opinions and again, thank you.

Mery X-Mas Everyone
It was pretty bad. Too much lag. I hope you guys will find some way to make it less laggy in certain events.

I had a lot of fun!!! The lags were a little annoying, and I think we crushed Eldarine once, but it was still very fun!! So many people were there!! The turkeys were really mad apparently... they kept on killing me... lol. DaveFS's idea sounds cool!!! It'll be really fun if we have a Japanese New Years Event!

I didn't think it went so well. The lag was killer, and I kept jumping back and forth whenever I tried to move. I also saw nothing in terms of holiday weapons, which was one of two reasons I went to the event. The other was to see how many people actually bought from the Fiesta Store. But the people that didn't far outranked those who did. I thought this was a costume ball. And another thing, the post said Eldy park, but you held it at the arena. Almost everyone I saw at Eldy park had a costume on, and we were waiting there because the thread told us to.
Next time, please make it so it doesn't involve us physically being in one place, unless we need to kill something. Can't you run around spawning a few treasures a time around the whole map? And make Shift Z not hide GM's.

Too much lag is the worst part, but otherwise it was pretty good... not enough prizes, can't find a single person with the holiday weapons (other then the gms) which is kinda sad. In other games they usually have a lot more of the weapons.
The event should involve more "Kid woz" quest events or that sort. I really like that part of the whole Christmas event. It is fair to everyone; we all have an equal chance of getting it, instead of whoever has the most expensive computer (fastest computer) (its true that most lag comes from the computer not being able to process the game, or so it seems since me and my friend play in the same room, same internet, but my friend's computer has 4 processors, 4gigs of ram, and top of the line video card, and he hardly lags during events, while me with my single processor and 1.5gigs of ram can't even walk forward when it is laggy)

I totally agree, I was around during the whole event waiting to get my hands on one... and I don't think they ever gave them out... that is not cool

I thought it was a great party. I got so many pets that I've given them to all my friends and rest to those who weren't able to get one. The lagging was at its worst that every 10-20 seconds, i would get disconnected. I didn't even get to see santa or get any weapons that were dropped. Other than that, I had a blast. Hope there's more to come in the near future.

You need to split the event up into multiple simultaneous sections that happen at once to prevent lag, such as the treasure chest opening and gifting. Also, granting each user that logs on an item would be more effective than drops as well.

I can't tell you how utterly dispointed I am. I have put so much time and effort into this game and have thouroughly enjoyed it.
This event however was like a serious slap in the face, like teasing a little kid then puncing him straight in the face.
I liked the sappy story, and I liked the hunt going all over the map, but once santa came to unload all the presents it became just a heartwrenching punch in the face.
I had Shift+Z on so that I could actually move (Despite being on a corporate T1 line) and I watched as INSANE LOADS of treasures were POURED out.
I ran around pressing 'auto pickup' for 10 MINUTES STRAIGHT!!!! And didn't get 1 DARN thing!! NOT 1! Then the server crashes. Next thing I know I log on and people are selling shops FULL of pets, and bragging about stuff they picked up!!
That was an absolute rediculous frustration. I have such a bitter taste in my mouth. I was really looking forward to the event. I got off work a little early so I could catch some of it.
Highly Dissapointing.

Two words: Computer upgrade.
Getting by on bare specs or just past bare specs won't cut it in such cases. :3

Hmm..., even my DuoCore 1 GB memory com give me me slide show durring event.
Hoever i applaud to idea herself, it was really interesting to see so many players in one place.
And people, this was 1 Christmas event in Fiesta's short history, so dont be upsed because you dont get a pet or any other prize (i dont get any too by the way), but now we see what need to be upgrade, and i agree that such event should be splited on all areas in map (Arena, Market, Park) to prevent concentration of players in one place or even make event in other city's (in Roumen Event for newbies and in Uruga for High lvls moderate by other GM or CR's).
I dont known if such split is possibile but i think will atract more people to participate :)
Anyway we all still learn how to play and how to manage such events so,
MERRY CHRISTMAS !!! (or Happy Hollidays) for all Adventurers of Isya :D
ps: for New Year event we should invitate Mara, Marlone and King Slime :D as guests.:D

I thought it was awesome :) Personally I like the events even if I don't get anything and being a mage I usually don't but they are fun and that's why I go to them.
Only thing I really don't appreciate is all the people whining about what they want - just have fun and if u get something u do, if u don't u don't..

The most fun I had was when it was semi over, when SnakeEyes was hanging out with some of us in Elderine Park(yay lag free!) It was fun watching him torment the male characters in his loin cloth. Then he spawned treasure chests and all the people came, making it lag @.@
I didn't participate in much cuz 1/3 of the time I was doing my jobchange quest. But from all the people shouting, seems like you didn't fail to amuse them ^^

I don't think i'll be participating to any more of these events.
It was sorta fun, but the time spent on it wasn't really worth it.
It was all a bunch of hype lol

I think it was fun, I was there in the arena before it was announced to gather there. It was extremely laggy, but I realize you've recognized that - as well as the fact that not everyone was given a gift. [I was one of those people].
But it was a very cute concept.

Well, I've learned not to complain if I can't suggest a solution. I thought the overall event was great, lots of different things to do. I think alot of ppl didn't realize it would last 4 hours. I too was waiting in Eld. Park, but finally moved when enough ppl said go to the arena. I lagged off completed with the giant phino. The worst part was the disconnect, then rollback after rescueing Santa. So, my suggestion is, since there were 3 (or was it 4) GMs on, perhaps it would be good to split up a GM per zone. So 1 GM in Eld., 1 in Roumen, 1 in FoT, 1 in VT. That way both high and low lvl ppl could benefit and it doesn't concentrate everyone in one place. Also, if the GMs could be up on platforms, rather than in the middle of mobs of ppl. I enjoy seeing what the GMs are wearing and I couldn't even get near Santa or Chopst or SnakeEyes. Have the Devs build some little towers for u guys. It did help having Dakkon on his pegasus, he was the only one I could see most of the time. Also, u may want to have more than 1 juicebar. I think alot of ppl didn't even know about or see the juicebar. I definitely enjoyed the event, even with the lag, disconnects and rollback. Oh, and I have a new system, with 2 gigs of RAM, 1 gig video, so it wasn't my system.
However!!!! I am sadly embarassed by the unabashed greed and disrespect of so many players. That kind of behavior is not only rude to the GMs, but also gets to the point where the GMs don't want to be good to us and give us nice events. Every event that any GM has done has been peppered with foul mouthed, demanding, criticizing ppl. The GMs don't have to do these events at all. And the more ppl complain, the less events there will be.
So, thanks for this event, all of it, even the lags. I got to see monsters I've never seen before (and may never see again unless I get real high). I got to see alot of ppl very happy. I got some nice presents (although I never saw any weapons being handed out or dropped), even enough to share with others. I had fun and was even amused by some of the dancing and commentary from players and GMs.
Happy holidays to all of you at Outspark and thank you Santa!!!!!
Katzy, KatzyBaby, SisterKatz, KillerKatz all wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Well I thought it was cool, but the gift giving kinda sucked. This comp cant handle the lag. My Girlfriend was able to participate (LadySarah) on our other comp. The lag guys is your computer nothing to do with the server or the gms. I have a suggestion for the gift giving. I think you should put them out as drops from mobs. Rappelz did this for thanksgiving and it worked well. I think it would also help your store out. You want more presents get the drop increase. That way the more you play the more presents you can get. If the GMs want to be there to personally give them out cool, but the faster your computer is the more presents you get... I would rather spend a few dollars in your store than spend 1500 on a gaming computer.

I thought it was fun, though i didnt participate in all of the events, i did get a few items even though nothing very special but it was still fun.
:D It was fun pulling those 'Turkeys' off of friends when they had the higher lvled ones chasing them then running for my own life xD and another friend coming to the rescue. And also the fact that somehow me an someone arnt enemies anymore xD lol it was fun.
._. and a japanese styled event for new years would sound cool, if your planning one for it XD

Um, Just so you know, I'm running a Core 2 Duo machine w/ two 2.0GHZ cores, and 2 GIGs of RAM. On a GForce 7600. Oh, and to top that off, I was connected through a corporate T1 line, just in case you missed that part.
No, my computer was not the problem. It was a lousy event poorly managed, on servers that couldn't even handle it. perhaps you noticed that OUTSPARKS servers crashed during the event! Hello!
Highly Dissapointing, left a bad taste in my mouth I won't be participating in the events in the future. Waste of time. A nice tease followed by a slug to the face.

Umm ok my input the dancing was cool but the lag didn't bother me too well until you spawned archon jrs. SO many people died why couldn't it be something eveyrone can kill. And you should space out the chests more. I couldn't click on any of them.

Suggestions:
1) Have a GM designated to booting the people trying to spoil the event. Listening to 50 different people crying over this and that, or trying to give false instructions grated me more than the lag.
2) Spread it out over a larger area and/or multiple maps simultaneously. (Possible lag decrease)
3) At least show us the Chrstmas themed weaponry since I still haven't heard nor seen about anyone getting one, etc.etc.
4) Keep the same scripting style for events. I love when you have to move around like that. Makes it fun.
Overall, I'd give it a 6 out of 10. Good deal for the first try at a Christmas event.
