Solid fuel, rocks, firewood?

I'm not sure where to ask this, so I'm assuming that this is a relatively appropriate place. Please bear with me, and don't flame if this thread it in the wrong place.

Does anyone know what the NPCs are requesting for when they ask for firewood, solid fuel, and rocks?

I don't remember ever seeing any of those items named ever, so I'm thinking they're referring to a general name for a specific type of item. Could anyone tell me what those items are?

You can get solid fuel from mob drops in the Mythril Mines. I'm not sure about the wherabouts of the firewood or these rocks. >_o But at least you now know where you can find solid fuel at :D
