Anyone here over 40 that plays

I was playing SoS today and a person said I was a weirdo because I was playing this game. Yes I am over 40 years old, but I am a computer tech and love to see what games are out there. I would like some of your opinions. I would appreciate your responses.

Im 36 and play. Think it may be the adult/child thing. But I make sure if I team up I tell them I'm an adult so they know. Keep it straight, Keep it clean and don't be mean. Yeah, weirdo's are around we all know that but as long as we are looking out for the kidz that's the most important thing.

My friend is going to play SoS once she fixes her video card problem. she's 40 years old too. She's so funny and nice that it's hard to remember she's actually 40. A lot of adults play online games so it's a common thing nowadays. I'd much prefer the company of these adults for their maturity and fair play. Btw im only 17.

its a hobby, it doesnt matter if you are 40yrs or whatnot. if its something you like, enjoy it :)

I'm used to it, i have an uncle who when i head to his house, i'd be playing KOF or Dynasty Warriors.. or NFS with or Fifa.. lol.. even Para Para and DDR.. or go to the arcade.. so no biggie.. and a dad who plays games like madly. >_>;;;;

Even i dont see anything wrong in playing games even if ur 40! Im only 20 now but one thing is for sure.....im gonna keep gaming no matter how old i am!
The dentures and shaky arms might slow my lvling speed, but i WILL game nonetheless!!!

Just to give an example, I remember a story of a 60+ (age) man who went to a video game store (one I go from time to time) to get used SNES games and if he finished them on less than a week, the guys at the store would change it for a new game for free. Obviously, the old man was there every week for the new game he could beat :p

Well im 27 and i play a ton of games so you know what? **** these kids will be the same way. You guys arent even that old. I met a chick on here thats 64 years. Her squire's name is Baboo. when i met her she was even playing two charactors at once! An aco and a squire In CV south. On a lappy and a PC. I thought that was the coolest thing ive seen an 'old' person do in a long time.

awww you shouldn't be considered a weirdo just 'cause you're playing this...my dad is like a kid inside :D (he's 60 and he likes to watch cartoons lol)...he even likes to help my sis and I when we build gundam models ^^...

Don't sweat it man. MMORPGs are for everyone to play. I'm 18 and my friends can't believe me for playing this "****y" games. I love them though.

I just hope that I will continue playing MMORPGs when I turn 40.

haha, im aiming for games programming here, ive even got a ORPG of my own that im planning on coding in C

anway, i hope i keep gaming til i die...well that or grow too old to be even able to look after myself...
