does anyone knows what are the benefits of having a pet and what does your pet do? and, does a pet "expires' after a certain time and disappears?

As of now, there're no "real" benefits, so it just adds to your overall look. From xenepic though, we have info that they apparently have stats, which means it’s likely that they either provide with +X stats to you or fight themselves to help you out.

I can’t assure that this would be implemented here or when or how btw, I’m just providing the info.

As for expiring, as far as I know, they don’t, though I could be wrong or it may change in the future (it’s a rather safe assumption that there will be pet eggs on the Store, so it’s likely that at least them would expire.)

when i tried to buy a pet from the pet merchant, he told me to bring him 5 yellow watermelons, so where do i get these items????
