If its white/red/blue to you
im guessing you're talking about the names of the monsters wheter they're white, red or blue right?
So what lvls do white, red and blue indicate? I've never seen a blue named monster before, is that like a boss or something?

red are monsters that are stronger than you
white are monsters that are close or equal to your level?
blue are monsters that are weaker than you

So....if im lvl 33, and i find a monster with a red name that means it's probably lvl 40+?
Hmmm if that's how it works then lvl 2 threaten is probably found at Cyoren Forest.
Edit: Friend of mine dropped lvl 2 Threaten from a Holloween StarBear at Luan Basin =]
Edit 2: I dropped a lvl 2 Threaten from Kenin Weed from Cyoren Forest.

I noticed that some monsters are light red and some are strong red.
Light red means slightly higher lvl and strong red means that u will get owned by them, right?

is lvl2 threaten supposed to only do like 10 more damage than lvl 1?
doesnt seem like it's really worth double the mana cost.
maybe I need more power? I only have the minimum for a shield.

i've heard that it does only 20 more damage than lvl 1 and costs twice as much mp (lvl 1 has a 3 mp cost, lvl 2 has 6 mp cost)...not sure if stats effect it though (I'm still using lvl 1 threaten, so I don't know)...

yep like 10-30 more damage, not worth the 3 mana, specially since your a neo.

yeh the extra 3mana ticks me off too but the strength of the skill depends on ur stats
and the casting rate is a little faster

can you confirm the casting rate?
I have lvl2 threaten, but only use lvl1 on mobs. although in PvP it's a different story.
the same applies with poison blow, i don't use it on mobs as it is not really worth the 9 manna, which is equivelent of 3 threaten strikes. but PvP is a different story, mainly because peoples armour levels are much higher then mobs, so when you're only doing 20-30 damage on a normal blow then the extra damage makes a big difference (mobs have much greater HP then humans but lower armour rating).

the casting rate thing was an inference
cuz i hav another neo character (used to get third rogue anklet) and i noticed that the time gap between it wen skill spamming is larger than with lvl2 threaten

that isn't a very accurate way of measuring it, what about other influences between the chars, like men etc.
the way to test it is to get an acolyte friend(or two), and then go to a dark red mob(so it has lots of hit points), then solo attack it, spamming threaten2. time how long it takes to do 10 strikes(or an appropriate number). then change your skill to threaten1, and solo another dark red mob, and time it for spaming 10 strikes of threaten 1. compare the times and share the knowledge with the community.

Yes, you can. When you have threaten on your toolbar there's "1" or "2" with little arrows to the side of it. Just change the number.
Either that or you have to right-click the skill to change it, I believe.

you can also use the wheel on your mouse to quickly change the skills lvl.

ya i honestly wish i wouldnt have used lvl 2 threaten because the damage doesn't seem very much higher and I personally prefer to fight until i'm out of MP and HP and than sit and regen and not burn through pots lots crazy. And considering it is double the cost of lvl 1 threaten I don't think its worth it. If i could take back skills I would go back to lvl 1 and keep usin the 3 MP!

if you right click on the skill in the hotkey bar, u can change which lvl of skill u use.
u can also change it quickly by putting your mouse over the skill and using the mouse wheel, if u have one
and yeah, the dmg to mana cost ratio for some skills is mucked up

Actually, it really depends on what level you are.
Yes, I found Level 2 Threaten very MP-consuming in my early levels, but now that I've fighting much harder monsters, it really pays off (though I'm 1 level away from level 3 Threaten now XD).
I do the sit and rest method, too. Or I used to, but now I want more exp, and I only sit and rest when I'm low in HP. ^^; MP pots ftw. [100 pots for 10k Kron = deal!]
