I'm just starting the game today, and I want to be a healer first and foremost before any damage capability. Can someone tell me the best way to go for that (job and where to focus skill points please).

Thanks in advance.

hmm, from looking at other threads I've gotten this as the best way to go for a healer...

Aim for Cleric
All points into Int

Still post please though if you can give me any advice :D, download 70%

First of all, you should realize that the Cleric path, while the only real support (and therefore real healer) path in the game, it’s not an easy one. Of course, it’s not a hard one really, but it does need some more consideration on some things in comparison to other classes (as soloing will always be slower in comparison to other classes, having a good buddy list, with varying classes and people whiling to party and who are actually good and useful on one can indeed be an important point, just to give one example). If you have already played other MMORPGs and do know how’s it to be a supporter, then don’t really mind all this.

Now, as for a build, full int till around 30 of it, then a few points on wis till you have around 12 to 14 total of it (that is, with 3 aco brooches equipped), so you can buff a party with ease and still have MP left to heal in case of danger. All this time, also keep up the pow requirement for any new staff (you should check it out beforehand so you can put that pow point on the very same lvl you can equip it). Then, you keep pounding int till around lvl 37 to 40 (till you feel your Heal is good enough to keep the people you train with alive if you party, which should be a 115+HP Heal) and then you can start putting some points into men (around 10 men will make a noticeable difference, though any point counts) so your time between spells is shorter (meaning easier and better support), and after all that, you should be around lvl 45+ and should know enough of the game to make your own choices about what to do next.

Hope this helps, of course it’s not some kind of absolute guide, so try to learn along the way and make your own choices. Also, if any more questions, we would be happy to answer.

Id stick with Int til level 45+. Then add some men, and maybe some sta for pvp. Wis will do you no good in my opinion since you will be using pots anyway. And if you dont, keep dreaming about good parties... (pots are cheap anyway when you're 40+ so no worries)

At 45+ you will party in Scorging plains where the mobs hit even a well built Squire with 70+. So you better have a 140+ heal there to support your tank when two mobs are on him. Of cours, you can always grind on lower level maps but that's boring :p

Anyway, with everyone switching to Diciple at 45 you will be unique and won't have any problems finding a party whenever you like. Good luck on your career and pm me in game if you have any questions.

thanks everyone. I've gotten to lvl 30 now and feel like I've got enough to take it from here.

And no this isn't the first game like this I've played, but it's the first one I've played where healers lvl this much slower then other classes...

Just to point a simple fact, without being a full int aco, I started partying at scourging at lvl 39 =/ And I did lvl to 45 there in just a few days.

Not being able to "heal" undeads sucks xd

Also, in comparison to other MMORPGs, our buffs are not that great, so while on the higher lvls an aco is a must for the healing (and not even that much for the buffs), on the lower lvls where solo and HP pots can suffice, a lot of people wouldn’t really want a party with an aco.
