I'm confused....

Okay, I will try not to bug you guys much, but hence I'm new this is really bugging me...
First off, I took scroll/pot production. I figured how it is working and such, but my economy is awful, most of the times I cant produce/buy pots for leveling, and not to mention 20+ gear...
I tryed to farm for things but whatever I can farm doesent drop anything, and whatever drops it takes me HUGE amount of pots to survive and actually gather something. So basicly whatever I do I lose more than I gain...
Quests are not helping much either, since you cant really earn on them....
Bottom line: My problems are - I can get my proffesions going because I cant afford to buy things and to farm is even more expensive...
Any tips please? I'm kind of desperate since I'm struggling to survive....

Hmm... The reasons why you don't get so much drops is because theres this "drop glitch/bug" going on. Where drop rates becomes lower and the items only comes in stacks of one(normaly 1-5). My advice to you is that you should stick to finding a party... Or maybe ask a few friends to help.

Lol, finding party that is actually doing anything is really hard... Like, Ive joined a couple but they usually kill a monster and then sit for 5 minutes. I find that a waste of time.
And I have no friends since I started like 3 days ago....

I've found a lot of my good friends in King Quests.
Maybe you could put together parties from people you meet there?

I have scroll and potion production as well - and I have just recently decided to take an interest in it. I have one of the same problems you do, but I have a solution.
Create a brand new character [I always chose clerics :x] and level off of Slimes, speedy slimes, and then slow slimes. These drop summoned beast leather, torn leather, and tough meat. But, you can also kill elemental monsters [fire mushrooms, mushrooms, ect] to get dust. Since it's a new character killing monsters take very little time. When I went from lvl1-7 I got 2 stacks of summoned beast leather, 5 stacks of t. leather, and 4 stacks of t.meat. :D
I didn't bother to get dust, though.

Sounds like a non cleric charater you're playing. Probably mage or archer. The best way i think to make money is to do what chantelle said and stick all the drops (except the bones) in your storage. You can get a lot of materials this way. Then get production skills and start doing your alchemy.

I have the same production skills on my main charater which brings in most of my income. Currently i hold 160s and around 15s on my characters. But i'm about to lose 115s + 30s almost lvl 40 now.

my main is also having those two skills.
i don't do much potions though.. scrolls are a great way to earn.
just might create a char and switch to stones though because scrolls price these days are VERY unstable! :D

At the time I posted this I was playing pure END fighter, I still am, just taking it slower. Now trying to focus on my pure INT mage, basicly those are two builds I liked the most.
Anyhow, I took also materials composition and stone production.
First one I havent started yet, seems kind of like a waste....
But as it is for the stone producion, I didnt found it very profitable(yet) as I'm saving all I make to level further....
Also I came to idea to make ultimate mage set for 1-10 lvl's and then just grind grind grind, and once I hit 10, just bank and remake char...
But I'm also finding trouble to bank, as storage limit is too low in my oppinion and I have NO intention on wasting RL cash on that mediocracy.
Farming with main is totaly pointless to me since drop rates are totally messed up, and by "making" us to play over and over I fear fiesta is gonna lose more people then get in days to come. For their sake and for the sake of our fun, I hope they do something with it already. Too many glitches...
