I'm new here and to the whole beta test thing. So what are you suppose to do in a beta test? Try and find bugs or if theres anything wrong with the game right? For all you advanced beta testers is there anything else you have to do? And also this game looks like my kind of game, I love the cartoony graphics. :-D I also tried a lot of other mmorpgs and I'm am forever searching for something new. Right now I kind of like Scions of Fate and Pirate King. Even though I haven't been playing to often.

Even though I've never beta tested before, I've found out how to beta test from other players. ^^
But yeah, you basically find bugs and report them. You also report grammatical errors (not sure if that's considered a bug or not).

I basically signed up to play the game and I got elected to Beta 1. So I played my character to Lv20 to keep my name (as promised, still not sure today). All I gave was a general feedback about things I noted in the game. There was not much more possible in my limited time.
AFAICS Beta Testers are not only there to improve spelling-errors or report problems in the areas. They are also there to just have fun and generate "Load" on the servers, such that the operating can see where people come from, when do they play and how many CPU power is drawn from the systems.
So I would say, that if you just enjoy the game, it shall be enough. However I am just one of the lucky people who were invited in Beta 1, so perhaps my view does not count ;)
One sad thing: I am currently on vacation in China, and the second beta starts just a few days too late, so I fear, when I am somewhere in the countryside of China there will be no Internet connection to have a look at Fiesta Beta 2 this time ;(

Ugh I'm not the best at grammar. But I guess I can find the obvious mistakes. And how do you load? And does that mean if my charcter doesn't get to lvl 20 I have to start over when the real game comes out? That would suck...

i think you midunderstood.
when you get to lvl 20 you only have your name reserved, and everybody have to start over

Because this is a translated game, one of your job is to find spelling, grammar, and word choice mistakes and report them.
You're also there to create traffic and to potentially put yourself in situations that other might not put themselves into.
For those of us with related skills, will do some testing that involves hacking/cracking the actual game files to get some effect. In beta 1 I had some success with various messing around with the files. Some where quite interesting and were client side only (you can change the graphics for characters, objects and whatnot)
In general most drastic bugs should have been weeded out in alpha and the first phase of the closed beta test. It's now just searching for the rarer or the bugs that only happen in certain situations.

Yea, I've Beta Tested Before. Its been about 9 years since I beta'd anything tho. I Beta'd UO, EverQuest and Ashron's Call. The only one of them that I continued to play after the Beta was UO. I loved that game. Don't play it much anymore tho.
