Gathering skills?

How do you learn gathering skills? I haven't really figured it out.

Mining: buy the skill ( from Ruby). right click it to learn it. Just like any other skill. Then buy the pick axe from Item Merchant Pey. Have it in inventory( you don't equip it). Find a rock and have at it.

Harvesting plants,mushrooms,trees,herbs, etc. Require no skill.

Riding: Buy the stick horse and Floatation stones from Item merchant Pey. Buy the skill "Ride Mover" from Ruby. Learn the skill,summon the horse, right click the stones to feed the horse.

To add on to what Trebori said, when harvesting/gathering, click on the bar exactly as it hits the yellow, vertical bar. This will result in a faster drop and higher percentage of receiving more items.

well, sometimes. I like to think it's out of luck. You start out always missing, then you suddenly get the hang of it. So you're thinking it just takes practice. Then right after that you fail. Again. And again and again and again. lol Weird how it works... :P

I despise that little yellow bar, there's gotta be some kind of trick to it, I just haven't figured it out yet. I met a girl yesterday that had it down pat, the only time she didn't manage to mine within 3 seconds was while she was talking. Was driving me CRAZY.

Excuse me, do you know how to buy the skill from ruby? I can't seem to be able to.

Your character has the skills mentioned in this thread when your character is created, so you don't have to buy them any more.

That's why this now-necromanced zombie thread has been dead since January 1st of 2008- dead for two years- because it's about a skill purchase that is no longer necessary.

i hate that vertical yellow line on the harvest bar. God @#$%, it's hard to get. 2 out of 30 times I get it >.>
