No Shadow Key drop

I decided at lvl18 I would go for speechless title. But since that title is (kinda) bugged, where you have to stay on the same map for the 72 hours (I've already tested this, on other char) I wasn't able to leave FoM and get my shadow quest when I hit lvl 20.

I didn't think it would be a problem to lvl more and do my shadow quest later, and my fighter is now lvl 23. Now the only mobs that show green, and still allow drops are Smart Phinos, little lizards, prockzones, kebings, and joker kebings. I have killed well over 50 mobs so far since getting shadow quest, and not one has dropped the key.

I have done the shadow quest many times with other chars and the key usually drops within 10 mobs. Normally less than 5 mobs. I'm inclined to think that there is a bug. If I am allowed to get the quest, then I should be allowed to get the key as a drop. I will continue to kill in search of the key, but I'm concerned that I will lvl again, and all mobs in FoM will be grey, and won't drop. I'll be doomed to be apprentice fighter forever. O.o

Hmmm.. this shouldn't affect a quest drop like that. I had a friend whom I power leveled to 25 before they attempted the shadow key drop. I was in the party and killed the mob and a key dropped.

I recommend trying to hunt Ratmen, they have a great drop rate for that quest key from my times of doing that. Let me know how it goes.

Thx Jhanniss I'll give it a shot. you think that the ratman will drop it even though it's grey now, and drops nothing otherwise?

I would definitely go after Ratmen. I tried forever when I first did the quest back in closed beta and it wasn't until I'd talked to some people before me that they mentioned for me to go after Ratmen for the key.

Sure enough after 2 kills it dropped. It may take more than 1-2 kills but so far in the 10+ times I've helped others with the quest they've dropped the key better than other mobs in the field.

Well, I tried ratman, no luck. Went on a killing spree of the phinos, and phinophiles since they're like one hit kills, that and the fact that I was annoyed with the whole situation, and a phinophile dropped it about 37 kills later....lol
