Help on Enhancing Items?

Hey, I'm fairly new, and I have no idea how to Enhance items. I tried the Help screen, but it said to 'Press F10, go to the Game Guide and click on Items'.
Well, I already HAD pressed F10 to get there, and I tried the only two subjects, which only brought me back to the same thing.
So how do I enhance my Items?

yeap - read Trebori's link - all u need to know... but remember one vital thing - something I didn't knew...

When you enchant your own weapon - take it out of you hand first - and place it in your inventory... otherwise nothing will happen.

And make sure you have a spare weapon, or enough funds to replace one, because sometimes the weapons will break during enhancement.

in my case... all my weapons broke... best is not to enchant at all... or buy stones from the shop if u really want something shiny.
