Normal Wand attacks

has it ever seemed weird that staves or wands dont have plain, normal attacks... like bows and melee weapons? im just annoyed at the fact that mages are COMPLETELY reliant on their sp and are useless without it.. :mad:

Uhm I guess you haven't tried but mages DO have melee attacks (even if they often miss or do around 1 damage). ;)

And substitutional to their sp-reliance, mages deal the most damage.

That's the thing about mages they have to be smart about their skills and of course they have MM1 as their normal attack.

oh lol, i was actually refering to like a ranged normal magic attack :). the melee attacks we have are worse than useless -.-

Lmao, your "like bows and melee weapons" irritated me! :P

Btw, if the sp-reliance (and sometimes even cooldown) still annoys you then party with a fighter who snears the mobs for you. ;) At this point they are real life savers for mages! :D

If your talking about how some certain games(Like Guild Wars)have ranged attacks built in their caster's weapons,i didn't see the point of that anyways,it didn't do great damage,and magic missile is the best normal attack we've got.

What are you on?Neither magic missile nor the archer's attack is melee,they're both ranged attacks.Magic missile also does alot more damage then the archer's attack.
