Looking for your opinions on how drop etiquette should be like. To throw an example out there, you are duoing with a friend, the drop mode is set to sequential and something rare drops, perhaps an Elderine ring, what do you think should be done?

Since I only hunt with friends, and the occasional stranger - who is always nice.. I actually don't have any problems with this.

Mine usually goes: Who needs it or will benefit the most from it first, then it goes in sequence to whoever got it. If we notice someone is getting the rares more often then another person, we split between us.

Also, if the party is friends, and we only get one or two items that we all don't need. We end up selling it and sharing the money between us all.

Sell it, then split the cash.

Sequential is sequential. It's supposed to be random.

If, in the end, you feel like complaining about who gets the item...why put it in sequential at all?

Not only that, but the other person has the same rights as you for the item; you're duoing with them, right?

Now, if it's on free allocation....maybe figure out who needs it most? : D

Sequential isnt random. Sequential is sequential.

Some people put on seq to make their party happy, but if something valuable drops they 'count' as who will get it and they will try to keep it for themselves by picking up other items until it is their turn in seq and then pick it up. Trust me, i've seen it done many times, pro's can work it out in full parties so they or someone they trust the most gets the item.

Well, you know what I mean about it being random. But as for pros...we all know they suck. I dunno, but if it magically 'happens' that they're getting all the good items, I'd say kick 'em.

Dark Age of Camelot had a simple system where any drop picked up went to a random party member, and the screen clearly posted who got what to each party member. Random is so much more fair than sequential, it's not even funny. I can't believe it's not an option here.

DAoC also had a nice random number generator. When more than one player could use a good drop, we simply picked random numbers from 1-100, whoever got higher won the drop. Easy.

I just let my partner take the item. I keep not anything for myself.

When I got something valuable, I usually stated that I got XXX, and asking the pt member who wants it.

Worse thing to happen during seq loot: (Happens to me after wiining Mini Dragon KQ).
The duck falls, and ores started to appears. Ppl busy mining the ores, not knowing it was set to sequential. The ore which I mined drop an Mini Dragon ring, I picked it up and it went to someone else pocket, I ask the team who have it, everyone is silence.
