So far, Ive learned from people gaming that you get cool watermelons from monsters in Shaio Forest and Belteranin Forest. D: Please confirm the validity of that statement if you are able.

-for book of mana, talk with the east gate guard in essene
-for karlstad's ring, I think that one you get from the south gate guard in essene
-for soldier's letter and diary of a soldier (you can use either one for this quest), go to the guild center in mall street, talk to the npc on the first floor (choose the "quest" option, then the "news from a son" option) then talk to the crazy old man in the upper left corner of arcarinas square

also messing with the fonts makes it annoying to read
you should move all your character levels and stuff to your signicture, it looks a little messy, no rule against it though and i can't make you do anything

anyway, cool watermelons are actually called yellow watermelons or YWM's. All monsters drop them but it seems they drop more often in higher level areas

1. The Book of Mana is a quest for the WESTERN gate guard in Essene.
2. Karlstad's Ring is for the quest of the southern gate guard in Essene.
3. Soldier's Letter and Diary can be used if you go to the Brynhild Gild Center in Mall Street and click on the Son quest, then talk to the crazy old man. This can only be done ONCE A DAY.
4. The Cool Watermelon the pet merchant asks for are actually Yellow Watermelon and tend to drop more often from monsters of higher levels. I've heard Shaio Forest and Belteranin Forest are good places to find them.

I STILL need to know...

Where to find the guardians the rogue guild master, Raymond, is talking about for the rogue quest.

If anyone can add to this information or share their pet taming experiences, please do so!

The next time you're attacked by a Sand Snake in Luan Basin near the red zone of Mystra Basin, you can use this tip:

Attack the sand snake and have him chase you into the red zone (NEAR THE ENTRANCE OF MYSTRA BASIN). Then, continuously attack the sand snake using regular strikes (not skills). For some reason, Sand Snakes in Luan Basin cannot attack you back there. It's an easy EXP gain! <3

REMEMBER: This trick only works with the Luan Basin Sand Snakes, not any other monsters there.

oh well, let me tell u that....most of the monsters will atk you in safe zone if you hit them.. especially in higher maps...

Okay, I say you're both right. I wouldn't know if sand snakes in Luan all do that because I haven't tried and me being either apprentice or scout, I wouldn't do enough damage anyway.

But I know that it works SOMETIMES on other monsters in...well, all areas with a red zone. I've done it when I was a neo a few times when I got lucky.

I'm standing here at that npc, and none of them here have a quest for me... I'm a lvl 25 neophyte; that have anything to do with it? I even have the diary and letters in hand. Any ideas?

This may be off topic, but I'm not so sure this true anymore. Because when i tried to do the quest to go thru the gate in the sewers, it said I have to get a key from Guild Master. But the Guild Master said I have to complete the Test of Peyshan quest first, which is the quest where you need to get a book from Guardian.

So to get the key to the new city, I have to get a book from the new city? doesn't make sense. Can anyone clarify what's goin on?

yup the guardian is at lost bryhild,which you can access(when its released of course) via sewers last floor at the guard,of course neos with extract might be able to go through,or did they fix that

atleast in the korean/japanese version of the game, the 'Guardian' is a boss mob (a giant tree) that spawns in Belteranin forest and Clipper Plains, I think. This boss drops the books for these class specific quests (sealed magic book, etc.), and are not yet in the english version.
ofcourse, they may decide to do things differently for the english version, so who knows

Yes but if you read up on the stuff that they are implamenting it says more boss monsters. So "cross your fingers" hopefully soon we will se that gardiant.

umm about1 of thos things u said earlier guardians are not items they r a group of specialy selected people that have a job to protect certain people who are in the guardians i am not alowed to say so if u must know then hope that ur chosen

Well, I HAVE seen Lost Brynhilld, it's awesome looking. No, I didn't complete my class quest. I was actually teleported there by Rider for an event :D It's awesome. Also, I heard Guardian/Gardiant hasn't been released yet...So we have to wait, sadly.

Besides, if you have to get the book from Guardiant who is in "Lost Brynhilld" to pass the gate to Lost Brynhilld, it makes no sense. We can't just teleport there to beat it, (Unless it's for an event) I hope to see Guardian/Gardiant soon! Must be a powerful monster/person. ><

It's true. Today I saw a gardiant while walking through Belterannin Forest. Its name was in white (and I'm lvl 45), and I would've attacked it, but there were just too many aggressive monsters around. However, I've already completed the Peyshan quest and received my bracelet. :)

Now I'm working on getting that Candyvault Souvenir Ring, which requires 10 ores for the refinery, 10 solid fuels and 15 glittery pieces, I think.
